I missed it too, sounds like that wasn't a bad thing. For those curious to see photos of the shark sub, click here!

I was also surprised that Celine had such minor billing compared to Fabien, since the show seemed to portray them as a team.

I can't believe they didn't test that sub before hiring a boat and crew and if he was stranded on the bottom twice and they didn't know where he was who was shooting the video of him getting out of the sub and swimming to shore?
It was more about Fabian and the crews ego's than sharks.

Uh, after the first time, why didn't they put a radio transmitter on that sub like they did the sharks?

I had the same thought. They tagged the GW's to be able to find them, so why not put a homing device on the sub? I think Fabian was damn lucky he didn't get killed doing this.

Exactly. I got the impression about half of the footage was a re-enactment of the real event.

In any case, watching the real sharks I never got the impression they were fooled by the fake shark for one minute. I know I wasn't. I think a diving bell would have been just as effective.

The only decent footage I saw was when the fake shark wasn't in the water.
No single raindrop believes it is responsible for the flood.

Wow, what a waste-of-time-steaming-pile-of-crap that was.

I've got a copy of the good doctor's Munching and Mating in the Macrocystis I could lend you. This may be definitely worth it since it's rated PG!

Decided a great DVD, right Caetllonn! Now if I could only sell it to CBS. I think I'll change my name to Dr. Bill Cousteau!

You'd never pass ... your far too nice to be French.

Hey, Jamie... I've met some very nice French folks. Most of them wore bikinis (that is IF they wore them).

Guezz, why didn't they test it before they got there? Why did they only have one way to communicate. Why did they not have GPS on the sub? I really don't get it.

I was also suprised at the lack of pre-in-water testing before going in with the sharks. Lets see, radio comms? How do they work when you are incased in a rib structure of stainless steel. Numerous leaks and mechanical problems that should have been worked out before the big splash.

Alot of dumb mistakes and a waste of an hour. Never going to fool a shark in that contraption.

I thought this was one of the lamest underwater-oriented documentary shows I have EVER seen. Lame, lame, lame!
