If my movie choices (Hard Candy, Black Snake Moan, Resivoir Dogs) give you more nightmares than the site of Simon in a Kilt then my movies are not the problem

With every SD trip I make, I am amazed how such a diverse group of individuals, who share diving as a common passion, can come together as a cohensive group. I was worried when the captain informed us we would have to return to Georgetown 2-1/2 days early, there was the possibility of 'cabin fever' ruining the rest of the trip. But, in true SD fashion, everyone partied on. So, thank you to all the other SD'ers on the trip, for taking a difficult situation, and playing [partying] through the pain.
Simon - wish I could send you some this 80 degree sunshine today, never thought I'd come home and find it warmer than it was on the trip. But tomorrow will be another day, and moist likely colder.
Apparently, one of my bags never made it out of Georgetown, luckly it was the one full of dirty clothes, my gear made it through.
Here's the recipe for 'Erica's Cookies'
Throughly combine:
1 cup peanut butter [I prefer fresh organic, w/o the added ingredients of jars of pb]
1 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
Fold in:
3/4 cup semi-sweet choclate chips
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet, in pre-heated 350 degree oven for approx 8 minutes
See y'all on the next trip,
Bill
Time on earth is precious, time underwater even more so. Live life one day at a time. Dive your @$$ off!!!

Despite all the unforseen events (bad weather, delayed bags ...), I had a great time as a first time SD'er. The SD group combined with the great Staff of the CE1 made a big difference.
I wished we made more dives, sp. night dives, with hot chocolate at the end, Mike pouring warm water in the back of our wetsuits and Leah handing hot towels. My computer registered 77-79 F and I was ok with a 3mm full and 1mm hooded vest.
It was well worth it staying late for "Squid's Choice Movie Night" ... I still hear "Team America, fy ... " in my head ... or was that Simon's Choice?
One note on Miami (and American), it is perhaps the worst airport you can go thru for customs. The bags are piled up on the aisles waiting to go thru the Invision x-ray machines. I bet they have no sense of which bags need to get there sooner. No wonder bags arrive late. Thanks Kamala for suggesting an overnight stay in Miami (on the way to GGT), otherwise I would have had a delayed bag. Houston and Atlanta seem to be much better connecting airports.

It's good that we don't take Whips & Chains on trips, huh?I can't believe I'm the first to respond...
"F* Yeah....!"
Miami does suck compared to Ft.Lauderdale airport from my occasional comparisons over the last 15 years. When I used to do Windjammer cruises, I learned to connect thru Puerto Rico and avoid Miami.
Tomorrow, I've got a bone to pick with Continental over who changed my FLL-IAH seat assignment to the very last row and why? I bought that ticket over six month ago - no way that would happen by accident. Travel challenges happen, but this one looks personal - and that is odd. I have a hunch, but we'll see...??
Yeah I know: I've been branded a non-group person - doesn't play well with others. I am so upset. Let me know if you want to have some fun, without the drama - I'm good for that.

That's interesting - the only time I've gone through Miami (from the Caymans) I had no problems - picked up my bag, went through customs, upstairs to check it in and back through security in less than 30 minutes (only had 45 minutes before my flight because of delays)... guess I got lucky
Now this time going through Ft Lauderdale was a little harder but just because I had to change terminals and got stuck in a very long security line but still all of it took only an hour or so... guess I need to do more international trips to see how other airports compare

Okay that seems to work okay. It's a 400 pic slideshow, select View As Guest, then speed it up to 1 per second if you like...?
I'll try to load the Tartan Dive Video tonight...
