Why duct tape?

Well that's actually my Save-A-DiveBag item.

The airline I travelled on to Coz ripped open the side of my divebag (suitcase) on the way down there and so one of the DMs at DelMar Aquatics picked up a roll of duct tape for me to tape it back up for the return flight.
Worked like a charm!

Diverlady

BTW - airline is paying to fix it. :)

Walter,

I know that is your short list. Do you take ALL of that on a boat? Or is this just what is in your car and you pare it down to take on board?

What I have in my car is different that what I will take on board a boat. Even so, it is much shorter than yours. Man, it would be SO easy to rely on you!

Also, for those who don't know, Walter has "other" uses for his buddy line. (Free rides). I can see how that would "save a dive". (I would put a smiley face here but there are already too many in this thread.)

Wow That's quite a list Walter!

I just have a small sad kit from Diver's direct that I knew I needed to add to, but just wasn't sure what. I've definitely learned from the lists you folks have posted.. Thanks :)

If I have to fly to my destination, I pare it down to take on the plane. If I drive to the boat, the entire kit goes on board. I gotta go get the kit and give you the entire list.

Becky,

There are lots of uses for buddy lines. Most of them even relate to diving. I give a buddy line to everyone I teach in any class. They are especially useful for rescues and as jon lines.

lmao...Walter you are hilarious....

My save-a-dive kit is:

Bring along my buddy Sean....he has 3 of EVERYTHING! B)

On a more serious note though, I have in my kit:
O-Rings
Wire Ties
Duct Tape (200 meter NOT mile an hour)
Spare Mask
Fin Straps
Spare Regs
H-Pressure hose
Batteries
and a spare 60 minute tape for my video camera so that I can catch a DM jumping off the boat without his/her mask and or fins. You would be suprised how OFTEN that happens.

Then I have my TOOL KIT! We won't even get into that one.
