We have a large group of about 15+ people going, including students, fun divers, dive staff and friends coming up. For us, it's about a 2.5-3 hour trek up, which we are making early Saturday morning. I plan on about 4 dives on Saturday at the dive site right at our hotel and 2 or more on Sunday down the road at a popular local site called Octopus Hole (I've hyperlinked linked it to my online dive review of this site, for those interested in reading about one of our local sites). The site is truly a Pacific Northwest dive site right on the side of the road, where you hop the guardrail with your gear on and traverse down rocks to get to the entry point!
Octopus Hole is very popular because it is a small true wall dive that bottoms out at no more than about 55', which is a perfect training site for Open Water divers on their second day of training and perfect for most open water divers in general. The wall also typically offers many many wonderful critters including Wolf Eels and Giant Pacific Octopus! Welcome to the amazing world of diving, I say!
