And LOTS of good healing karma and prayers from me as well!

As for Athens...heck I love that place so I'll be there too! And no we aren't launching the new website so I'll plan to camp and hang out the entire weekend!

I do love Steve's BBQ so my vote will be for the bbq...it will be pork, beef, chicken, turkey, salmon and whatever else we find awesome to smoke! It is all smoked and for those of you who have had our Athens BBQ's before...you KNOW how delicious it is!

I'll also start a list of those confirmed in the first post for Tooth and Punk and ask the mods to help keep it updated! -ww

I'm Baaaaaaaaaack

The Poll is looking close to even split on how the dinner will go, for the sake of planning purposes i will have the poll locked on the 10/14 so that arrangements can be made at that point.

As for events Calvin has posted that every sat in october there will be a treasure hunt so thats a additional item for the weekend, maybe SD can clean up on priozes again at this treasure hunt.

The $20 per person for food if you will send that through Kamala. Then if everyone could post the days there going to be there that would be helpful for counts.

one note on the poll the meat for the fajitas will be coming from my friend who is the regional kitchen chief for Abuelos who will prep the meat for the event, so it will be good. Just a FYI.

Kamala

thanks for putting the attendies list on the page. Im going to call calvin later today or tomorrow to sort some items out. Also PM me the 5 W's on steve so we can go over that.

Capn
Yee no better din to accost yer chillns. Din would trey be attendin this dis here event?

Finally if anyone has any special requests on items or evetns please post them, and then lets get as many people as we can get for this event as it should be a good ole time.

Put me on the list for working very hard to join you.
I just have to see what my work looks like and if I will be travelling on business.
I'm a camper and think that the weather will be perfect for camping.
The fajitas sound wonderful!

Sara (without an H) says she will.

Elliot has not committed yet.

SWMBO will probably attend.

Barry, you must vote! We're in a tie and the pressure is on you to break it! You can vote for BBQ and make certain people happy, or you can vote for fajitas and make other very special people happy. Choose carefully Barry! :P

I had to vote "other" as I don't eat meat! But I do eat seafood about twice a month! I would cast my vote for "Fajitas" if we could add Shrimp to the selection! If not, I can bring my own and cook it when you grill the Fajitas....

So, I guess that you can change my vote to "fajitas" - if it helps the cause!

I am in! and will bring Diversitea as well. I went to a Treasure Hunt last month at Athens and it was great! I would like to camp out, but will need to find my tent, etc! It's been a while since I used that gear.

I have another (new_ SD member who plans to attend as well.

Please add my name to the list. By the way, Happy Hour was GREAT!

Oooo, grilled shrimp sounds good. If I get to come I'll bring some shrimp, too.
Barry, glad you're coming. Hopefully I'll get to see you if I get my work done.

The question came up at the HH as who to send the money to, please send payments for food to WW as she has a easier time processing payments then i do.

I will post a update soon as a couple of more things get settled out. but calvin is putting on a treasure hunt, but would you all like to do a UW pumpkin carving event.

as for the shrimp i will keep that in mind if that is the way we go for the event. also since there are some vegan/vegitarians in the group thats coming i will keep that in mind but if you will pm me your items that you will let slide that will help in the food planning.

one thing is that you can BYOB at athens but it needs to be in a can not a bottle, so if you do bring anything like that keep that in mnd.

SP - it's my intent to come. But...my dad...my hero...my biggest fan, is having an angiogram done on the 20th. He's in California and I'm here. He's very overweight and has some very serious existing heart problems starting out, so an angio for him is significantly more risky than for most. That being said...it all depends on the outcome of the angio and action plan established afterward. I may be on a red-eye to CA on the 20th.

Hope to see me at Athens...cause things have to go well on the 20th in order for that to happen so it'll be like a dual purpose hope! :cheerleader:

I will send some healing energy and a couple of prayers his way!
