The person that was proposed to was wearing a set Doubles.
Who have you seen or heard dives a a rig like that on the first dive.

norm

Same person that snorkels with whalesharks in 80 deg water wearing a dry suit....

:welcome: Definitely a strange bird eh? Or should I say a 'TEXAS BIRD"!!!

Contest Winner Update:

The winner has been validated by the firm of Grabber and Urchin. However due to several 'prickly' issues the winner has not been 'grabbed' yet so we expect to have the final announcement Monday the 16th.

We thank you all for your participation in this fun and unusual contest! Stay tuned...

"Prickly" issues? I would think that the thread speaks for itself.

Today...here and now...I rescind any guesses, comments, or other statements made about who it might be and I step out of this game, no longer wishing to participate in the folly. Please do not consider me when "grabbing" your winner. I do not wish to be considered part of your "Prickly issues!"

So here is the deal,
Everyone wants to know who it is for real
For the Urchin & Fingrabber
We do patiently wait for them to blabber

Some are concerned bout those who post
But its about this guy and the gal for life he will host
So guess we may for many a day
Even though far far from the truth we stray

It has all been loads of fun
Thinking about this clever bo and his sweet hun
No need to be friends to be pricky
This is no occasion with each other to be icky!

For love is in the air
A chance for us to well wish and care
To one another let’s be kind
Bride and groom would have us be of this mind!

Hoping is it Carol and her boy
After all I WANT my SCUBA TOY!!
About this she’s been a good sport
A fun friend who can play the game she is the sort

So dear Urchin & Fingrabber
Quit all this howling and jibber jobber jabber!!!!!.
And at once tell us the matter
So that this couple with our congratulations may flatter!!!

Even though I only did One dive, I had a great time. Sandy got some pretty good picture of that shark. I thought it was kinda neat when the sun came out long enough for some of us to do another day of diving. I will definitely be back diving in this area again.

Que, it looks like you're trying to tie me for the 'fewest number of dives on a trip' award! :P :teeth:

In Grenada I had one and a half dives. The first one I had to abort 'cos I couldn't get below 22', then I had a reverse-block and couldn't get above 16 feet. DOH! I finally did get ONE real dive the last diving-day we were there, but I missed out on all the rest of 'em. Bill and Kamala got to dive the Bianca C 4 or 5 different times, a new record! I sat on the boat for some of 'em (always the bride's-maid...)

:teeth: at least we're still alive to dive another day. Speaking of bride's-maid...we got a wedding to plan. So many things to do and not enough time :P

Just logging in after working a conference all day so a bit tired. This message was quickly posted when the validation team of 'grabber and urchin' asked until Monday to announce the winner...afterall for those who are certain they know who got hitched, what is another day or two? And for those that aren't certain...more clues continue to come out of the closet which certainly makes this an entertaining thread. And the longer we delay the more creative poems we get from USBB! :P

So in a creative gesture, a play on words was used to tie the requested extension to the 'grabber' and the 'urchin'...hence the 'grabbing and prickly' adjectives.

No one nor any situation was in mind when these terms were chosen...no animals were hurt in the making of that post and most certainly no malice was intended in any shape, manner or form. I apologize if I hurt Tina or anyone else by my post this morning. Please forgive me.

And yes the winner will be announced on Monday...until then...this thread continues to provide all kinds of fun twists and turns....all harmless of course. And for those who feel that they have been hurt or harmed by this thread, please accept our apology as that was not our intention.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Kamala said, "until then...this thread continues to provide all kinds of fun twists and turns" which makes sense since SD has some of the most twisted people I've ever had the pleasure of diving with. :P
I, Latitude Adjustment (insert log in name), do hereby swear, (politely), that I shall not hold SingleDivers, (SD), nor any SD poster, (real or imagined), liable, nor shall I seek legal restitution, (real or imagined), for any perceived, (real or imagined), offenses I may incur, (or Incurrrrrrrrrr on talk like a pirate day), that may or may not be posted on this or any SCUBA related board, (real or imagined), by anyone, (real or imagined), anywhere, (real or imagined). Further, I void any right to privacy, (real or imagined), as it may, or may not relate to any posting, (real or imagined), about me, to me, for me, because of me, all about me, my dog, my cat, my bird, my monkey, my family, (real or imagined), my friends, (real or imagined), or my world, (real or imagined).

By all that is wet, I do hereby swear, (politely), and attest, upon pain of never diving again, (real or imagined), that I understand and affirm, that I agree to the above.
