I know times and dress have changed alot, that doesn't mean our Values and Morality have to! I am not saying that I never noticed a nice lady, but there always has to be a level of respect shown! Just my feeble input :teeth:

Which end is up?

I live in Hawaii. I dress for the weather, not for show. You take what you can find that fits. Also, (this may sound lame but I mean it) the more skin exposed gets cooled faster in the tradewinds.

When I lived in Washington State, turtlenecks, layered clothing, etc. was the norm. But, even when wearing the sweaters (not tight), you get the looks. So, go figure.

I'm only speaking for myself, though. Can't explain others.

I either spend way too much time in la la land, or its that lack of cleavage thing, 'cause I live in Hawaii too, and I'm with Sea nmf. I dress for comfort. I haven't noticed any leering or drooling lately. Now, years ago, when I'd be out running I would get a lot of cars honking horns, but now when they do that, I figure I need to get out of the middle of the road!

Guys tend to be more visually-oriented, and visually stimulated, so it's only natural that they will look. It's that all important way they approach that is critical.

believe me, there are plenty of women who are visually stimulated too....
not that i PERSONALLY check out the package....
but i know women who do :teeth:

:teeth: ddierolf this is not the subject being discussed.
But who is your dive master? He is cute as a button, I love his mustache :teeth:
And women wear revealing clothes, mostly because it makes them feel sexy.
When you feel sexy, you feel pretty. It just feels good to wear something silky on your skin.

It's one of those Men are from Mars, Women and from Venus things. If you are able to figure this out there is something wrong.

As a biologist, I've expounded before on my thoughts re: why men look to chest level on a woman. Cleavage indicates potential survival value. And of course woman look directly at our wallets... oops, I mean pecs. I think there are sound evolutionary fitness based reasons for this. Leering is another thing however.

Why women don't want us to (or we them) is the question I can't answer, although I have a few ideas I won't share here.

First, a disclaimer, even though my avatar might lead you to think otherwise, I do not normally show that much cleavage.

While I have never covered up after someone looked at me, I have been uncomfortable - I'm more of the grin and 'bare' it person. From a catalog, I got a dress that was more low cut than I normally like, but it fit really well and, at home, I thought I looked great. I wore it to a friends' dinner party. I am good friends with eveyone there, but yet I was uncomfortable. The neckline seemed to impade good conversation because my male buddies seemed to be so worried about staring. Maybe because I am the only girl to play poker with them, they forgot I have breasts.

I noticed something similar the one time I went to topless beach (a friend's idea). I observed that the men/boys were so worried about being caught ... (clears throat) ... enjoying the view, that they never talked to the women. There were groups of men, groups of women, and never the twain did meet.

lovie, that was called SARCASM.

of COURSE, i'm a package checker!!!!!! too bad jamie's not here or we'd get "into" his speedos again!

when i catch some guy checkin' out MY girls, i usually make a joke about it, like "ok, chief, i know they're great, but let's get the patient to recovery first....then you can stare all ya want..."
but those of us in the med field (left field???) tend to be pretty uninhibited.

i know that comes as a shock to all of you.

especially mike.

tell your mom I said "You go girl" ....er...I mean "you go ma'am"

Hey Laura, I will pass the word along!
I know I dress sexy sometimes, and I do it to make me feel sexy..and what is one thing that makes a lady feel sexy? having men check her out (not gawk!!!!)

OTOH, again...I stopped running in my neighborhood .... to many cars honking..whoever thought athletic shorts and tees were so damn sexy!! :2cool:
