Ticketing Update:

The good news is that ALL the tickets are e-tickets despite being told that they would be paper tickets. The change over was soon...and as it turns out...it coincided with our trip.

I've been advised that everyone has now rec'd their pkg from the consolidator or it has been attempted delivery. Please let me know if this is not correct.

I have domestic confirmation numbers for everyone now...they are as follows:

3. ladylike crab Jet Blue # OCPMBS
4. ScubaShafer Delta # 27GDS1

I have int'l confirmation numbers as follows:

My understanding is that everyone else has their confirmation numbers both locally and internationally! Kamala

I haven't received anything yet. I will double check with the apartment office, but no note on my door or in my mailbox.

I'm not worried though. I'm all set until after Cairo. Of course no cool luggage tags or t-shirt.

Was not sure if you'd get yours in time...and I'm guessing you aren't. I sent them to the Dallas street addy n Houston. I hope they arrive today! If not I'll bring another set with me...

Flight Update for your Trip Leader:

Several people have asked when I arrive in NY and its at 3:05pm on AA. I'll get my bags and head to Egypt Air and hang out with those already there and those arriving.

Since everyone is on an e-ticket I foresee no problems. Kamala

Didn't expect to receive anything, so I'm not disappointed. The confirmation number you sent today helped me checkin online and print my boarding pass to JFK,

I contacted the office and checked my mailbox and nothing. So bring another set for me and I'll see you in Cairo. Any follow up with what I need to do once I get to the airport? I have the address of the hotel, so I can get a taxi for a flat fee. Just let me know.

Your plan is sound. After you arrive and pay your visa, collect your bags and clear customs then catch a taxi and head to the hotel. We'll see you there! (I'll bring more goodies for you!)

Sorry- I know you have a million details on the mind.... One more to rattle around until you do the welcome talk in Cairo on the evening of 18th.

Please double-check with Afifi El Shimy that he is meeting Amy and myself that overnight at 12:40AM. Remember that Darlene has assured us that we will be met at the airport at that crazy hour. Sorry to bug you with this, but I really don't want to fumble my way through the visa office, then taxis and arrive at the hotel any later than necessary. Hopefully we will make good time and be able to spend the day on the 19th with the group.

5/18/07 LHR/CAI MS #778 4:50PM/12:40AM+1

Reply for Late Arrivers: Mike and Amy you will be met by a LTT Rep but it won't be Afifi since he'll be with the group. They will meet you after you get off the plane and before you collect your bags to clear customs and then help you get your bags and then take you to the hotel. YOU WILL BE MET! Look for a sign with your names or with SingleDivers.com on it.

don't worry about arriving late at a "crazy hour" - all the European flights come and go during the night so the place will be busy. Also, Cairo is the New York of the Middle East - it never sleeps!
