This is one reason I dive with several drop dead gorgeous female dive buddies. When other women see me with them, they assume I must be highly desirable. The downfall of this is that I fall in love with the dive buddies rather than the women they help attract. Sigh.

You are much wiser than I. My 500th was over 20 years ago on the Bibb, including me there were just 3 people on the boat - all guys. I wonder if I can work out a deal for my next century mark............

Certainly men do it as well. However, I have a code that I don't interfere with existing relationships (marital or otherwise). I wouldn't want someone to do that to me. If I see a woman who is attractive to me (in whatever ways) but she's already with someone, she's off limits as anything but a friend.
ADDENDUM: That code doesn't apply to women I already have a "relationship" with before they start dating a guy, although I won't directly interfere. So far I've made it through a few dozen "other guys" with my #1 dive buddy Andrea. She still won't give in, but we have a great friendship and dive buddy relationship.
