I just traded in my good old M-4 for a newer H&K 416 with an EO TEC HOLOgraphic Weapon Sight. It's not diving related, but I'm happy and just wanted to share.

Mines the top one with a 10" barrel.

Now all I have to do is shoot to zero before I need it.

Damn fine looking home protection device! What type of CSP (Crime Stopping Projectile) does it use?

That's a real nice system, I wish we had those when I in the sandbox instead of my 20 year old a2. Which says alot about the M16 I guess since everytime I pulled the trigger it fired. Which was really nice a time or two.

Nothing wrong with being excited to use a new piece of gear.

Yeah, it's a psiton so you don't get the nasty blow back into the chamber. It should shoot cleaner and be more reliable. Although the bolt assembly is a bit different and there is a small spring on the firing pin.

On the plus side it's a 10.5 inch barrel and have iron sites if the optic goes Tango Uniform.

That's nice, and it's always good to have a back-up because as we all know the tech stuff always goes pear shaped about the time you need it most. 10.5 is a nice length for doing some MOUT too. Good luck with that.

I think you should get two! They look kind of small! :birthday: Ah heck, I think you should get several, but that is just my way of thinking! :birthday:

Which end is up?

Just remember rule 7 - when in doubt, empty the magazine.
No aquarium, no tank in a marine land, however spacious it may be, can begin to duplicate the conditions of the sea. And no dolphin who inhabits one of those aquariums or one of those marine lands can be considered normal.

I went out the other day and had a basic combat load and then some. One of my friends looked at my gear and told me it was a lot of stuff. I told her this was a light pack for a short excursion. Funny how different people look at stuff.

I definately look forward to diving in Jersey when I get home.
