For your information:

Sharing flights on the way there:

Doris and Kelly

Sandy, Margaret and Dave

Barb and Anthony

Everyone else is on a flight by themselves. Don't know what the Wench's flights are.

On the flight from SAP to Utila:

Sandy
Barb
Margaret
Susi
Dave
Karen
and I think Anthony (Anthony, did she give you the 1:55 flight?)

I am also on the flight at 1:55 to Utila. Is anyone else on the AA flight 949 Miami to San Pedro? I booked a room online at Villa Nuria and sent them an email with my flight details, but I still haven't recieved confirmation. I even tried calling today, but the connection was even worse than my Spanish & I got nowhere.

Jim

A few people are on the AA941 flight which leaves earlier in the day, but no one else is on the AA 949. We can squeeze you into our room if your hotel doesn't work out. You will be at the same hotel as Barb, Anthony and myself, so we will be on the lookout for you. Don't worry, you won't have to sleep in the airport! :cool1:

Can someone clarify? I understood there are reef fees of $4 per day as per the Deep Blue website and mentioned by Shirley in an email she sent me today... BUT I can't tell if they are in addition to, or included in, our week's fees at the resort. I see where the 16% Honduran tax IS included though no mention of reef fees is made either way on our SD Trip thread.

Just now Shirley wrote me an email about travelers checks and her ability to make change from them upon my arrival (when I'll be reimbursing her for my Atlantic Air flight) She said I could use the remaining change for bar tab or reef fees, and that's when my ears perked up......as I said, I don't see the reef fees mentioned EITHER WAY in our trip info at the top of this thread so I thought I'd ask... :cool1:

Anyone? WW or Scuba Punk?

thanks,
s

Please forward her email to me at kamala@singledivers.com. That info as you said was not in the materials they gave me hence not in my list of covered nor uncovered expenses. I am guessing they are new??? and certainly add'l fees that we are not aware of. Again please forward me the email. Thank you, ww

Important Trip Update:

Hey gang it appears that we have an add'l $4 a day reef fee that I was not aware of. It would only apply to the diving days so another $20 in cash will be needed.

Honduran tax at 16% and Utila Diver Reef Tax of $4 per day of diving must be added to the package price.

Note that the 16% govt tax has been paid already. However the reef fee has not nor your exit tax.

Per some emails that several of you have rec'd please note that CASH is king so bring plenty to cover your incidentals, dive tips and fees.

Yes you can pay for you Airfares with your US Travellers Cheques
and whatever else you need to pay for like reef fees bar tab, etc, out
of the change. It is always good to have a bit of cash with you. I
think it is $32 you have to pay to get out of the country when you
leave so make sure you have that. I don't think they would except
Travellers Cheques or Credit cards.

There is an ATM on the island but it is in town which is a 10
minute boat ride away. I have also heard that the ATM rarely has
money left in it anyway.

Hi Sandy, Not sure your joking around or not but a CR2450 sould be easy to find if you have time. Check out Wallgreens, Rite Aid, CVS, Radio Shack, Walmart or the electronic store at the airport.

Weird! I just bought one for my Veo200 this morning and something told me to buy two, but I didn't. Sorry.

Really!? I thought I would have to get one at the Dive Shop. I'll check Walmart on my way to the airport tomorrow. :P
