Hi SkubaPunk, My name is David and I just joined at the premium level so that I could sign up for the Belize 5-day trip version. I need the forum password to access the docs I need to fill out. I will send in my check to Kamala as soon as I am able to fill out whatever all the forms are that I need to do!

Okay looking to do the Belze trip for 6 days 8th to the 15th is there aspot open? I'm really bad at the computer thing and new to SD . Instructor Update:

We officially have an SD Instructor on our trip who will offer classes and additional certs for anyone who wants one. We have had several people ask about Nitrox and he can certainly do Nitrox (PADI) and does an excellent job teaching the course. Welcome Bob aka pir8 as our trip instructor!

He is offering a great SingleDivers.com deal for our members....the class is only $100 for SD premier members and $125 for standard members. You will get your book and tables at a local diveshop near you and you'll need to read it and do the study guides and exercises prior to the trip. Tip: Photocopy the pages of the questions and fill those in so you don't have to tear our the sheets from your book. Then bring $25 cash for the pic card which is done online and you are set!

Bob will detail more information for you about the class and if you have any specific questions please pm him or ask them in this thread if unable to pm. If the question is a general question please consider asking it in the thread so that others can learn from it too!

Please note that while our SD instructors do a great job instructing and offer a great value of both price and content to our members...choosing to support your LDS or our instructors is a personal decision. While shopping price is always the norm...getting a high level of value for your education is the most important element. Many will consider the value of combining training with diving to be the best option and others will want to get the training done first to focus on the diving. Remember our instructor is also on vacation as well but by doing the reading and book work PRIOR to the trip he can focus on the lecture part and YOUR learning while doing something you love!

Its a great service and we are thrilled that Bob will be our trip instructor again! -ww

As the Wench said I'll be available for classes on this trip.
Unfortunately I can only do the long weekend option due to lack of vacation time at work.
But after doing Egypt and the Flower Gardens already this year I'm happy to have any time left at all.
Kamela has already given details for Nitrox and I can also offer most any specialty that you might want to do including UnderH2O Sign Language.

If you sent them snail mail, then Nope! I do not have them. See post #17. You MUST send your survey via email to Trips@singledivers.com. That is the only way I will get it. The preferred method to send in your waiver is to scan it with your signature and email that to Trips@singledivers.com also. Kamala gets literally 100s of emails, it would take her forever to find your survey in the list if she needed to look for it.

If you have sent your payments via snail mail, then you will need to give Kamala a day or so to go through the mail. She just returned from the Great White trip, so once she processes all the payments, she will post them on the board.

I have read through the thread and I am still unsure of a few things:

1) Will there be an opportunity to do more than 2 dives EVERY day if you take the short trip (at an extra expense of course)?
2) Does Houston (IAH) add anything to the price?
3) I don't care to spend the time it takes to go to the Blue Hole if it will cost me dives. Can you tell me the penalty or the gain in dive counts just to get this log book dive in? Plus, if most of the group wanted the Blue Hole would I be able to skip it and still dive back at the home base? If it is a take-one-for the team dive I would be fine doing it - just want to know the options.
4) Finally, since I am dense - could you please spell it out for me what this trip would cost for me to do the short version from Houston (include single occupancy add on), with Nitrox. I got kinda confused on what are still the unknown and now known add on fees.

You're not confused Squidly, the add on fees have not been posted. Hopefully I will hear back from Peter today with the answers to your questions. Maybe WreckWench can answer some of them right away. Houston (IAH) is a major airport, so there shouldn't be an add on to that price.

I should have pricing soon for nitrox and the extra dives as well as if doing the blue hole takes dives away. Once we have those details posted we can start to see who is interested in what. Hang tight for a bit longer! kamala
