it's true she does and she has had that quality even before she started diving!!
now back to the question at hand...i plan on wearing chapstick while diving(burts bees chap stick is awesome) and then applying lipgloss when all the diving is said and done for the day. so far what i've gathered is that massacara is a waste of time and guy divers like the way female divers look no matter what anyway! same ole story except a little on the wet side....

i must ask this question, does it really matter what the packaging looks like? isn't it what is on the inside that really counts ? when you purchase a beautiful piece of art, do you send it back because it came in packaging that you don't find attractive ? or am i the only one that thinks that ?

The way most of us have been socialized, we are attracted to the prettiest packaging and as a result don't even see the others.

As much as we say and even believe it is what is inside, we have to look there to see it. In Western society, the marketing has been pretty successful.

The beauty of the internet, usually, is the inside shows through without the packaging getting in the way. Well, sometimes.

Anyway, you see my point . . . . .

sea nmf- I don't think it is entirely a matter of socialization that forms our preferences in terms of physical appearance. I think there is a fair bit of biology and survival value tied in. In a man, strong muscles might suggerst an ability to provide for the woman and offspring. In woman, a well formed derriere might indiate ability to bear children and beautifully formed bosoms might suggest ability to nurse the offspring successfully.

Of course there are also cultural/social aspects. In some cultures different physical features are preferred. I know what mine are- I just saw them in the form of a lovely woman snorkeler in the dive park today. She had the most awesome body I've seen in years. Of course she was with her BF so I've consoled myself by saying that she undoubtedly had the IQ of a boll weevil. Sigh.

so true about packaging (although, whether we admit it or not, a beautiful package can turn ALL our heads!).

my family takes that to an extreme...we don't bother with wrapping paper for gifts. i've been known to wrap something in toilet paper! it's obviously what's inside that counts...for more things than just gifts!

(but there WAS this one time where one of my nieces wanted a fish.....)

I think the packaging is very important. Not as important as what is inside of the package obviously but still important none the less.

It’s the packaging that we are first attracted to. Whether or not the package still looks attractive or not after conversation is left to be said but initially it is the packaging that’s gets the attention.

I personally want to be not only mentally attracted to the love of my life but also physically attracted to him.

I agree, Ana, but I find once I start becoming more familiar with the contents, the packaging becomes either more or less attractive.
