We specifically need volunteers in the following areas:
7. We'll be expanding our SingleDivers.com volunteers! So if you are interested in any of the following positions please let us know:
1. Angels - Representatives of the very spirit and essence of SingleDivers.com. People who are eager to meet other fun, scuba loving divers, willing to greet others looking for the same, able to reach out and wish Happy Birthdays or just make SingleDivers.com more fun to hang out! Its a great way for new members to get started with the site and we'll usually ask you to join us when we see your enthusiasm bursting through!
2. Charlies - The 'guys' who take care of the angels of course! Actually a bit more than that, they share the same ideals and attributes that the 'angels' do only they are guys!
3. Moderators - Behind the scenes people who help to keep the site and its member's interactions flowing smoothly. They rectify problems on the site when things don't work, they help keep conversations in line with our TOS and they assist new members to the site in how to do things!
4. Happy Hour Planners - People who want to meet other people in their area and who are willing to organize or help organize a local Happy Hour or get to together to socialize and/or dive. They typically start the conversation and/or choose the venue. They help to update the thread as to who is attending and they call the venue to advise how many people are coming, sometimes ask for Happy Hour special pricing or freebies and they post that SD is having a Happy Hour on other internet resources as well as send pm's to members that we've identified who live in their area.
5. Dive of the Month planners - These are extensions of the Happy Hour Planners and often help each other or are the same person. They help to plan local area dives so that others can join in and get to know one another! SD will help with this as well so let us know if you are interested and we'll give you more guidelines. These are usually one day events and they do not compete with our monthly trips. If your DOM idea could be extended to make a great SD trip then let me know so we can work on that together.
6. PR people - People who are good at promoting SD and have ideas on how to do it!
7. Marketing people - People who are good at marketing and have ideas on how to Market SD.
8. Web helpers especially PHP people - We always need web help and especially people who know PHP. Please let us know if you can help in this arena.
0. Trip Coordinators - Trip Coordinators such as Fingrabber and ScubaPunk help us manage our trips. Running 15-17 trips a year takes a lot of coordination and that is where our Trip Coordinators come in at. Our TC's as we call them are insured Instructors, DM's or DM's in training. They help manage the trip threads, the trip details and signing people up for the trip. If they are on the trip they help run the trip as well.
10. Instructors for SD trips to teach on the trip - SD strives to have at least one working instructor on every trip we run. This instructor is willing to offer classes such as Nitrox or Advanced to our members. Sometimes we run an entire trip or event around education/instruction. We allow the instructor to set their own pricing and SD will sell, coordinate and collect for the instructor leaving the instructor free to help organize and then teach. However many of our instructors prefer to just dive with us and that is cool too.
11. Newsletter Coordinator/Editor/Publisher - We need a newsletter writer, editor and publisher. It can one or different people.
12. Artist/Graphics person - We need people with artistic and creative skills for art work, graphics etc.
