Ok ok...so before this gets twisted into something OTHER than the truth...it seems I set up my third tank right after the 2nd dive. I grabbed a capped off tank and put my gear on it so my gear would not be at risk for falling off the bench etc. I could not check the nitrox until we returned from lunch and after doing so failed to notice the psi. I then did a 55 minute dive when I felt the obvious 'hard to breathe' parameters. I thought how strange...and when I looked at my guage it said about 10 psi.
So I signaled I was out of air and slowly ascended to the surface to swim back to the boat since we were nearing the end of the dive and were only in about 20-25 feet of water. Seems I grabbed someone's empty tank from one of the first two dives and failed to verify tank pressure so I have no idea how much gas I had but it must of been low as I had been averaging an hour on 700-800 psi.
In any event I was offered air/gas from several people which I refused until Brian offered me his 'long hose' and THAT I could not refuse! We then swam the rest of the way to the boat and other than a few people realizing what had happened it was all cool. However I guess word gets out when an air sipper ends up sucking a tank dry!
But thats the real story for inquiring minds who wanted to know!
Time on earth is precious, time underwater even more so. Live life one day at a time. Dive your @$$ off!!!

So easy to do in Bonaire, especially carrying 2 sets of tanks in a truck, been there done that.
