While I'm flattered that any(several) of you would suggest Wreck Wench Way....I doubt future owners would appreciate it.

Seems another caveat is the name must be something that the new owners would want their street named or would live with so they no longer allow people to name streets/drives after their own names. Doubting anyone other than me (or Bill) would like to live at WW Way etc. even if its not a "proper name".

So now my thought process has to change again...

So perhaps the simpler the better...

So far leaning towards....(IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER)

Dive Buddy Place (statement vs address)
Scuba Place (statement vs address)
Divers Place (statement vs address)
Surface Interval Drive (sounds too wierd as place)
Bubbles Blvd (but now sure I can call it a Blvd in rural SC...might be limited to drive, way, place)

BUT I don't have to make my mind up until MONDAY of next week...so keep the ideas coming...Bubbles Blvd and Surface Interval were new and just added in the last 24 hours to the short list if you will...

OK ANOTHER SET BACK...


The municipality has given us another roadblock/obstacle....seems we can ONLY use Drive or Trail.

So I only have a short time to finalize my choices ....anyone else have any ideas....

Dive Buddy Drive -- Beside having a great rhythm to the spoken words, where else would you expect to find SingleDivers.com than on the street where you'll find a dive buddy?!

Scuba Drive -- A lovely double entendre, no?

Scuba Trail -- If the Munchkins had been divers, that's what they would have called the Yellow Brick Road...

Surface Interval Drive -- Where better to spend your non-diving time?

Nitrox Drive -- It's a gas!

Small Bubbles Trail -- What you follow to find a diver...

Whaddya think, Wenchie??

Won't be long before local, state and fedreal bureaucracies combine to spare us individuals the hassle of regulating our respiration rate.

Yeah I know....however the rationale is understandable. It becomes a 9-1-1 issue as well as a more normal naming nomenclature. It seems for example a street has to have multiple locations on it....and not just one private residence. You get the idea.

In any event...great suggestions so far...or more variations on the lionshare of the finalists....

I hope to get one of these approved!

So that means:

Scuba Lane
Dive Buddy Lane...
Going Down Lane...


One suggestion was to go with "Dive Buddy Place Lane" and the post office would deliver even if the 'Lane' were missing!

We asked if we could use the word "drive" in a similar manner and they said no it would be too confusing since drive has a legal definition to it whereas 'place' does not.

I was at a conference recently where one of the speakers defined the difference between an Adventurer and and an Explorer

An Explorer does things for a reason, be it research, documentation, etc.

I think WW and OTWdiver are both Explorers so I put in my bid:

Explorer Lane

or

Explorer Trail

I am TOTALLY impressed with the creativity! I kept thinking of simple words like coral, shark, turtle, dolphin, C Card, divelog, first stage, underwater, blowing bubbles, EAN, dive adventures, etc...

Dive Adventures Lane is about as creative as I seem to be tonight.
