Just got back tonight from a great trip to Utila!!

Even though the Whale Shark Gods were not with us, we had a great time regardless.

Wonderful group of people... thanks so much for all the fun. Great diving... spotted lots of new things I've never seen before. One of which was errr.... Ummm.... how do I put this???? The Elusive Capt Morgan Moon Fish! :thankyou:

Hope everyone has a safe and uneventful trip home. I'm afraid some may be spending the night in SAP tonight.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's pics. I took very few myself, but will post them as time permits.

Just back from a fab trip to Utila----I was also one of the lucky ones. I returned to NYC tonight after a harrowing encounter with the good folks at Continental's check-in desk at SAP... Don't know how it happened, but after much gesturing with my emailed boarding pass in my hot little fist, they took pity and I was allowed to put my bags on the plane (so was Barb snorkler) and we sprinted upstairs to try to pay our exit tax, get through the X-ray machine and find the gate in the last 4 minutes before take- off....maybe we WERE the last ones on the plane.

I too am grateful to be home, and sorry for all my buddies who found themselves overnighting again in SAP or having other detours and snags along the way. My thoughts are with you and I hope you get home sooooooooooooon. :canada:

As it was my first SD trip I have to say how great it was........ the people and the place and the diving and the camaraderie was all much more than I could have hoped for..... my thanks to Kamala, Scuba Punk and everyone else (whom I may be omitting due to fatigue at the moment) who worked on putting it together (Jasmine and Shirley too who had much to do with our good week.)

I learned so much more about diving with you guys-- had many great dives and hope to do it again some time soon!!!!

SD rocks! :thankyou:

Hugs to all and a good night's rest.

s

PS I will post my best pix soon! Can't wait to see all of the photos this group has taken --- amazing stuff!

Is that another encoded reference to the elusive "Cap'n Morgan Moonfish"?

Very cool! I'm hoping that Bruce and Jim got to see and/or swim with some since they stayed an extra day.

No report from them that I know of yet.

Jim and I stayed on another day and had a wonderful early morning dive - just the two of us with Jasmine! We were headed for the second dive when ...

Hope that makes diverbOb happy - He's been waiting all week!

There were two different whale sharks, but neither of them wanted to play. I was able to snap those shots as they were swimming into the deep blue.

Jim and I ran into Zab at the local bar and almost missed our ferry the next morning!

As for me, I'm feeling pretty scubalicious.
