There were two different whale sharks, but neither of them wanted to play. I was able to snap those shots as they were swimming into the deep blue.

Jim and I ran into Zab at the local bar and almost missed our ferry the next morning!

I'm oh so jealous, but VERY happy that you guys got to see them. Sounds like you had a great time in town too. :birthday:

Thanks for sharing the pics!

Nice Bruce, I knew it would happen just after the rest of us left. I made it home and other than getting off the island everything else went smooth. I noticed that Doris had posted some pictures from the trip so if you haven't seen them go to the gallery here

Thanks for a good trip everyone. I guess I'll have to find somewhere else for those whalesharks.

Yeah we REALLY would have been bummed if the resort said they saw them the DAY AFTER WE LEFT...at least we know now that it would have been a true fish tale! :wakawaka:

Doris-- thanks for sharing your great photos....... I'm glad you showed us what it's like around Utila town particularly the fun at Happy Hour on the dock, since I never got there to prowl around myself! it's very funky and cool! Your candid shots of our gorup made me laugh!

I'm trying to figure out :cheerleader: how to upload my own photos to share, and so far have not succeeded, so if anyone can aim me at the right instructions I'll try to follow them....

Loved the toadfish! They are my favorite cute-ugly fish!

Very cool! I'm hoping that Bruce and Jim got to see and/or swim with some since they stayed an extra day. No report on that that I know of yet.

Jim and I stayed on another day and had a wonderful early morning dive - just the two of us with Jasmine! We were headed for the second dive when ...Hope that makes diverbOb happy - He's been waiting all week! There were two different whale sharks, but neither of them wanted to play. I was able to snap those shots as they were swimming into the deep blue.Jim and I ran into Zab at the local bar and almost missed our ferry the next morning!

I knew it and told you at breakfast on Saturday!! So glad you saw them and took pictures! I am looking forward to seeing all the pictures and will post some myself as soon as I figure out how... :bam: btw, I was not able to see the whale shark pictures, some sort of error message appears in my screen... :bam:

Great pictures Doris! I am glad you took a picture of the octopus...that was the dive my camera ran out of batteries :bam: so I am glad to know you got it!

PS. I know I talked about changing my screen name to something more fun...but have not been able to come up with something (work was impatiently waiting for me early Monday). :bam:

While I usually discourage screen name changes for active members...in your case we might make an exception since yours is too closely related to your name and that is one of my internet concerns...using your real name. So having said that...how about "Good Luck Charm" or DivingCharm ;)
