OK. So the truth is out...Someone asked me why I was going to Dallas, and I told them I was going for a happy hour, but that I found a blood conference being held there so the military would pay for it! :cool2:

Hi AliKat. Where is the conference, and what are the topics? rFVIIa, TX triggers, Substitutes, Perflorocarbons? Clin or Path? Maybe I will show up for a few.
Yes, to other SD'ers, those are secret medical code words. If I explain them to you, I will have to make you bleed! :lmao:
But everyone can show up for a few afterwards. SH... glad you are still around, and doing what you do best!

I know I've been a little what seems to be in hiding, but I'm not really.. just been so darn busy I rarely have time to log on and stay a while, but I'm working on it. I don't think you would have to MAKE anyone bleed if you tried to explain all that, just hearing the explanation would cause some sort of spontaneous rupture.

How 'bout TRALI and maybe emerging pathogens like Chagas, Parvo (which Japan already tests for), and Leishmania...oh yea, and the blood bankers most dreaded 3 letters, the FDA...

Actually, the conference is titled Challneges to the Blood Supply and Recall Prevention and Reaction. My real love is FDA and complicance issues (I'm going to be the FDA inspector one day so I can be every Navy Pathologist's worst nightmare).

:D I'm always up for happy hour. I know we were drinking just a weee bit but we hit all the usual places in Addison. I could deal with some place that is unusual as well .... :)

OK guys- I have been working on the event. I cannot officially post any info until tommorrow am. The owner is supposed to speak with me then regarding setting up some specials for us.
But, it will be at the Londoner on Aug. 10th. I will post all the deals, etc tommorrow after I speak with the owner.
