How cool that your son has joined us Bowjunkie! Maybe he and Ms. T can convince my daughter to start diving with us!
As for me, I'm feeling pretty scubalicious.

End of April would be best for me. Have to see what the deal is with the Red Sea and where my buddy is going to be at that time!

Same time as this year seemed like the perfect weather for the trip. I have a hard time committing with my work schedule and other commitments as well, so will just have to see!!!!

Weather should be perfect in April, May or June. We want to avoid the cruise ships and we want to find slack time for the resort so we have the greatest flexibility!

May is a great time but since we are planning Red Sea next year June is too hot for most people and April is high season so that leaves May.

Keep giving me feedback...I really appreciate it!

Here is the cruise ship schedule. It shows boats through the week we were just there next year, with the last boat on May 13th.

http://www.infobonai...om/cruises.html

Personally, I don't think it should be that big a deal, since the boats only do a 1/2 day in port anyway, and most days we were out diving during those times anyway. Looks like according to the princess website, that the boats either do a 7am-12pm or 1pm-7pm stop depending on direction. And its no more than 1-2 boats a week total.

But if the goal is avoid the boats, end of May or June would be the time to go.

Great info! And yes if they are there when we are diving it doesn't really matter that much. Other thoughts?

Good news/bad news from my teacher friend. She can't go May or first ten days of June. No worries though, she is not looking at Bonaire, but rather wants to do the Red Sea! :thankyou:

:teeth: Who could have told her about the diving there? :D

Yuck...that means she'll be doing the Red Sea when its very hot. Remember how hot people were in May and it was only getting warmer. Being a school teacher does not leave lots of good options in the summer for some places. Let me know if she wants to do our trip...I can set it up for smaller numbers of people with some advance planning.

I need to catch her on the phone. Sounded like she read the Red Sea planning thread and was expecting that one to go on a timeframe that met her needs (she wants to go with SD.com). I'll post her RedSea "not on" days when I get them, but I think its the same as I posted for her above for Bonaire.

She loves Bonaire too, but has close friends living there (her diving and lodging there were "special price"). Yes, the '09 Bonaire or Red Sea offerings are possibilities to be her first SD trip, but you will probably see her next year on a SD trip anyho...

I know it doesn't work for next year, but sometime I would like to be there in September during the coral spawning over the full moon.
