Attention first timers to Cozumel International Airport: Just thinking about my first time going thru the airport. Some helpful hints in getting thru. Don't let me paint too bad of a picture but.. there are some weird things.. like being hit up for time shares in the airport while waiting for luggage and before clearing customs. Watch out for signs of your hotel or free maps or free something, some bogus line to lure you in. If your a nice person (aren't we all) be prepared to say NO. Also you need to push the button and if the light turns green your allowed to proceed, if it turns red you get the complete check thru: luggage - body cavity search (maybe not). Also, have the forms filled out completly: the airline will provide these forms and you can fill them out on the plane. Have ID, Passport or Birth Certificate and other travel docs. If you are in doubt just follow the person infront of you and do like they are doing. It's a good time to remind everyone myself included that we are on caribbean time and things move a little slower. Don't worry, smile, be patient and enjoy.. See in Coz. Jay

Sonny, Gar and Michael I have you down for Thursday dives or Friday dives since you all are staying a bit longer. That way you can join in with the rest of the SDer's! Let me know which day you prefer????

Thursday is the sighseeing day with F-F gang and last major day of diving with S-S gang. Friday is fly day for F-F and maybe sight seeing day for S-S gang. So I have you all penciled in for Thursday. Let me know asap if this is correct! -ww

WW - if we told you the Nitrox and extra dive info in previous posts or in the survey, you picked the info up from there and I just need to pay you on Sunday?

Glad the night shore dive is Sunday, now I have a whole group to dive with.

Ha! Need to wait and see if I HAVE kept you all straight! Yes I've picked up what has been said in previous posts. Will settle with you on Sunday!

And yes...I went back thru and made sure that we didnt' leave our late arrivers out of all the fun NOR did we slight the weekenders!

See you all soon! And I just pray that I have in FACT kept this all straight. I will end up paying for it myself if I have not!

Apparently I missed the boat on extra dives. Some of us can't view the site during the day and I don't stay up real late. I am sending money Pay Pal for nitrox for the 10 am and 2 pm dives.

10:45am Group Flight Arrives
Clear customs, get bags and find men with turquiose shirts and white pants from Lomas Travel for transfers. (This applies to everyone not just the DFW group.)

12:00 arrive at Hotel Cozumel

12:00 to 12:30 Orientation while Kamala checks everyone in.

2:30-1:30 lunch

2:00 - 5:00 Nitrox Certification for Nitrox Students (with Jim)

2:00 - ? Shore dive for others arriving

2:00 - ? Deb and 3 other GUY volunteers to make a water run for everyone. Water $1.00 a bottle plus $1 per person for taxi (Order for the week...additional runs by you. Pls pay her upfront. )

3:00pm Check into Rooms. (The hotel is so full that they have advised us it may be as late as 3pm before we can check into our rooms. Luggage will be held for us while we drop gear off at the dive lockers, change and go diving.)

5:30-7:00 SD H20 Happy Hour (@ Hotel Cozumel location TBD)
(Called H20 Happy Hour to remind you to drink your water!)

7:00-7:15 Taxi's depart Hotel for Dinner

7:30-9:30 SD Meet and Greet #1 & Dinner at La Mission
(Venue changes nightly or may have more then one location. See SD whiteboard in lobby or outside of WW's room for nightly location.)

9:30-11:00 'Explore Cozumel's Nightlife" or you may head back to the hotel!
