I'm sure that the Founder and the Admins, Mods and Angels would like to see or hear your opionios on what you like about SingleDivers.com. Alot of times this can help the direction of the future of SD, But we need your help. I have posted some general Poll questions ..feel free to add something that is not in the Poll.

The people are so friendly. I like the website it's not so big like the "other" one that I get lost in the crowd. My local dive club has mostly couples with their own buddies. Not much fun. ~ B

Exactly!!!! That is why I chose SD.....the "other" site was very stand-offish, which I found strange. Can you believe, I did not get one single reply to my intro post on the "other" site???

Besides, I like diving with people I know at least a little bit, and WW puts some great trips together!

I agree! Bubski, you missed the most important reason I come to SD (which it sounds like the main reason others come here as well) and that is the GREAT people I have met here! When you do go on a trip or attend an event, it really is a trip or event with your friends

I joined SD for the same reasons damselfish and Landlocked Dive Nut joined..Plus Dive Trips was supposed to be one the Poll Questions but ended up being the title of the Poll Dive Trips and making friends and sharing info is why I am here.

I see the post title is why do you come to SingleDivers.com, but the survey asks why did you come to SingleDivers.com originally.

I came here for the diving trips originally, I have wanted to dive for as long as I can remember, lack of money and lack of someone to dive with had always been the two things that kept me from diving. My income went up, but I still lacked dive buddies, I found SingleDivers.com and I found dive buddies.

I keep coming back every day for almost every choice in the poll.

I come to SD for all of the poll choices. I especially like that everyone is welcome, there are no cliques, everyone belongs.

For me it was that I had just broken up with my gf and our dive trip was subsquently cancelled so I received the cash back and was looking for a new trip to replace it.

When I was on a cruise about six months prior my insta buddy had recommended scubaboard. I found the Diving Singles section which brought me here. So I signed up for the Cozy trip that summer and the rest is history.

I spent a lot of time surfing the site and checking things out before I joined. I work in the IT industry, and I know how many times the great things you see in the internet turn out to be not great in the real world.
I am THRILLED to say that I worked through my skepticism and joined and signed up for a trip. I was feeling like a pretty newbie diver (I had realized I knew just enough to know how much I didn't know) and I saw that every post on the board had a tone of encouragement rather than condescension, I saw a respect for the sport, for people, and the sea, and I saw a great group of friendly people with apparent evidence of meeting in the real world and making it work. What a great and friendly group. They say the "tone" of an organization trickles down from it's leader - anyone who has ever met WW will attest that she is a great spirit and one of the most generous and friendly people you will ever meet.

I am so glad I found this site and joined. I have had two great trips and met some fabulous people. I'm looking forward to more.

Thanks Kamala for your inspiration to begin this venture.

I came to the site for all the reasons mentioned above. At first, I did not know what to think about it but as I have gotten to know Kamala, Kim, Bubski, Sandy, and many others too numerous to mention, this has become a great group of people to "hang around with". My only regret is that I have not been able to go on more trips with this great group but, hopefully, that will change soon.
