You probably need to size-down the pics for the Gallery. No more than 200Kb, max!

I tried several times to post pics in the SD Gallery, but I had no luck. I will just use the outside source unless you have suggestions as to why pics will not upload. By the way, Peter mailed out the DVDs yesterday. He was busy on the ships and with training, but he apologized and said that he managed to get to a shop in town to print labels and such, and to expect the DVDs in the mail soon!

Thank you for the update on the dvd's. They will probably take 2 weeks at least to get here from Galapagos.

And pls do as Tammy suggests...they will let you upload then! kamala

I am sorry but I'm swamped right now with deadlines. I don't have time to downsize all the pics, so I'll just stick to the plan and perhaps a volunteer could download, resize, then upload...the interface is inefficient on the forum.

Great news! I just posted a 'need help' posting on the site and got an instant reply from Clint aka ScubaClint who has offered to help Gabrielle get pics loaded on the site! :thankyou:

Just give him a day or so to get caught up with Gabrielle and the fruits will be in the pictures! :birthday:

I can't find the thread asking for help with posting pictures, but I'll be happy to help if that would be feasible. But why not publish detailed guidance on what software to use and the parameters to set and ask people to resize their own pictures?

It is HERE. The problem is many people have very busy jobs, lives &/or families, and don't have a lot of time to re-size photos and upload them one at a time onto our site. Since our photo gallery is important to selling members on our fabulous trips, then if someone has pics but no time to devote to uploading them into our Gallery, we need volunteers who have free time to help us get them on our site.

Here is a link to the pics: http://gallery.me.com/fsuchamps#100105

Feel free to download and view, or if you were on the trip, upload pics there. I haven't had the time I wish I could have had to get the pics just the way I want them- nor have I gotten any pics from people on the trip who promised to send them when they got home- but this is a start! I messaged Clint so he can downsize the pics, though the interface here isn't as nice as the gallery. I am also still in the process of uploading more (hopefully including the ones people from the trip said they'd send), so please check back for updates. Again, these pics were from all the photographers on the trip, but mainly from me and those in the photography class. Most of these are phenomenal pics...the cream of the crop from over 16,000 taken...so enjoy!

Now I need to get back to work. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Take care,
Gabrielle
;)

Thanks and a tip of the face mask :wakawaka: to Clint aka scubaclint for resizing and uploading a selection of Gabrielle aka sunshinediver's pics. Here is the link to the Gallery.

I have just one word for them - Fantabulicious!!! (No, it's not a word... until NOW!) :tears:
