I hope it warms up before your visit, because it's really "brass monkeys" right now. Everyone's going around with thick fleeces on.

Peter what are the water temps right now? ....No matter the temps I wish I were going, have fun all!!

79-81f. It's the air that's cold. Last night it dropped to 63f, with a strong biting wind. Yes, I know that's not cold by your standards, but it is by ours :D

I'd call that frigid!!! so what are the daily highs?

No heat and busted water pipes with below freezing temps have obviously made my hands and brain a bit dysfunctional. Please forgive the typo. It is 10am not 10pm.
Also the flights are all on Maya Air as Jessica figured out. Please forgive the oversight.
I so need this trip..... :-D

Good Grief!!!

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Holy Hot Water Bottle, Kamala!! Sorry for the chill weather woes. We'll take up a collection of warm hugs and stand in line to deliver them when we see you in Bee-Ville. :P

No heat? Ack! Did you need your dry suit for your basement? :-D

Hugs and a lovely Island concoction. Thanks for all your work in making the arrangements. :D

You're right, 63F would be balmy right now! We're expecting to hit zeroF to single digits as our high temps, with wind chill expected at -25 to -40 over the next few days. :-D

Lynn, you can take your MN weather back! :P We Missourians do not like this negative wind chill stuff, and the piles of snow got old two weeks ago. More is piling up as I type.....I need Lynn's tractor snow blower! :D

Enjoy the 63F, guys. Remember what it's like at home!

Whoa, hold on there. Let me speak for MN and say we are NOT claiming this weather. :D We can send it back to Canada. :-D Oh, and that isn't my tractor snow blower - I have a forty year old Ariens that's a beast. The neighbors with the nice new blowers borrow it for the tough stuff. I'd better swap out that goofy pick so my fellow SDers can recognize me on Sat.

I'll take 63F in Belize but see if you can't order up something above normal. :-D

I'm hoping for warmer weather for all of you... especially the Wench as I know how cold she gets just with the regular temps... but I have to say after driving home, creeping along for about an hour and a half in 11 degree blowing snow.... I'd LOVE to be with you all in the 63 degree air temps!!

Take pictures! :D

If you want to feel warmer go to YouTube.com and in the search window type "down2biz" (without quotes). Hopefully, that will pull up videos of dives I made in November (Grand Turk) and December (Nekton Rorqual)! The camera was low resolution (what do you want for $139?!) so video looks best if you don't enlarge it full screen. This trip I'm bringing a new, higher resolution, camera by the same manufacturer that records in HD and is waterproof to 180 feet and, like the first model, is smaller than my hand. I am really interested to see how well it works (the cheaper model quit working after 4 or 5 dives, but they gave me a full refund).

I just sent my waiver form to trips@singledivers.com. That should take care of all my docs.

Noticed you bought my connecting flight. I assume I owe you for that, right?

You can certainly tell who lives in a normally warm climate ALL THE TIME!

The highs have been in the 70's and low 80's or so I've been told. That will be very warm to many and yes a bit chilly to us thin blooded Texans! :teeth:

IMPORTANT TRAVEL TIP:

Hey gang...it is always wise to hand carry the things that are hardest to replace or most expensive. So if you have room my suggested carry on is as follows:

1. Regulators & Gauges
2. Computers (dive and pc/mac)
3. Mask
4. One chg of clothes
5. 1 swimsuit/trunks
6. Camera gear if you have it
7. Any medicine you need
8. Emergency kit consisting of toothbrush, travel sized toothpaste, and any toiletries you need to survive a couple of days without your full toiletry bag.
9. My personal computer of course and other things I need for travel.
