Did you note that the article you linked to is from 2001?

---and that Mexico does not figure into it at all?

And the boat that capsized was the Wave Dancer, not an Aggressor boat.
"When you shoot underwater, you have limited time, subject matter that rarely sits still, let alone cooperates, and exposure that changes moment to moment. It's a place where you have to constantly wrangle light, composition, subject and depth, and then find a way to be creative." - Eric Cheng

Must of been one of those days. :tears:

However some people today are a bit confused over Peter Hughes and Aggressor ownership as the man who owns Aggressor NOW also owns Peter Hughes which leads many to think they all are now Aggressor boats.

Wayne Hanson has kept both companies separate although they do now use one consolidated contract! :)

I lost a friend who was staff on the Wave Dancer when this happened. Aaron went down to replace Andrea, my #1 dive buddy, after she completed her stint. Sad event, but also past history. CDNN is not the best source of information either.

DG101 is just trying to figure out the industry here as we all were at one time. This was a terrible situation caused by a man that should not have been a captain from my understanding. These people are unfortunately in every industry and fortunately somewhat rare. Peter Hughes took a bad rap for this that they are still suffering from today. Things tend to change after these kinds of events though. SD did a PH cruise around the Grenadines on the Wind Dancer a little over a year ago which was wonderful. The crew was great, the ship was fine, and everyone was very professional. Sad story, but it is actually history.
