The only wrinkle to that weekend we will have to watch for is that its the final Colorado Rockies homestand of the season against the rival SF Giants.
If the Rockies are out of the playoff picture, then its no big deal. If they are, downtown will be very busy, especially the resturants/bars in the LODO area. Just something to watch out for.
Then we should have our happy hour at the game
Er... if we can get tickets! LOL!
Well, tickets are on sale now with plenty available. The question is how many to buy and how much people want to pay. Price ranges from $4 for the Rockpile to $100 for club or box seats. That's without looking into group tickets, which would probably reduce the cost of non rockpile tickets, but the question then is how many to buy?
Where we did the last downtown Happy Hour, Arapahoe Junction, closed its doors January 1st. The other place we did downtown, Lodos bar & grill is right across from the ballpark.
Not knowing the times of the events, Do we want to be downtown, or how close to the Convention Center do you want to be?
Where I was at happy hour yesterday was at Hacienda Colorado at I25&Colorado on the north side. It seemed very nice There is a Dave & Busters on the south side of the highway which might have a larger room.
For me, I live north, but I think a majority of people live south. I've got some great ideas around my area but I think its out of the way for most.
