Another intrepid member (Christine aka scubachristine) has PM'ed her RSVP for the HH. :P She will be flying in from the Mayaguana trip, but as an ATL local I feel fairly certain she has her own transportation arranged.

I want to issue a "traffic advisory" for anyone planning to attend the Happy Hour on April 17. I just found out that next weekend is the Freaknic festival, which can result in heavier than normal traffic in the downtown area. The actual Freaknic event is being held at Washington Park (just west of downtown), which is far enough away from the HH location that it should not be a problem. However, the "party atmosphere" will sometimes spill out into downtown and the surrounding areas, so if you are coming from the airport, then I would strongly suggest taking I-285 rather than trying to drive through downtown.

If any of the out-of-towners (or the in-towners for that matter) are interested in diving with the whale sharks, manta rays, hammerheads, sand tigers, giant groupers, etc. in the Ocean Voyager exhibit at the Georgia Aquarium on Saturday, as an aquarium volunteer I can get you a 20% discount off the cost of the dive ($325 less 20% off = $260). All equipment is provided although you are permitted to bring your own mask. It looks like there are currently 4 slots open for the 11AM dive and 2 open slots for the 3PM dive. PM me if you are interested.
