One of the things I think should be covered more in the OW course is the hazards of shallow water blackout. A diver died here this weekend while snorkling alone while everyone else was diveing. No one knows that it was shallow water blackout for sure but he was know to Hyperventilate prior to a freedive.

Shallow water black out is required to be taught in OW by both NAUI and YMCA. PADI doesn't require it. I agree, it is crucial.
No single raindrop believes it is responsible for the flood.
