It had been a long battle and her death on 9-11-10 was not a surprise and yet he couldn't believe it was happening. Her liver failed and she slipped into a coma...never to awake again.

This woman was a very special woman who had been apart of Mike's life for over 20 years. Ups and down and ins and outs...they rode the waves of life's ocean until the final wave swept her away.

Mike is doing well but of course has a heavy heart. He is thankful that he had time to prepare...to create living wills...and to settle affairs...and to say goodbye...in a way only those with a glimpse of the future wisely do.

In talking to Mike I realize what he was saying was we should all take a minute to 'thank' someone for being special to us! Or ask someone you've hurt to forgive you. Or tell someone you love them...it only takes a moment and sometimes we may never get another moment to do it!

And keep Mike in your prayers as he moves forward day by day.

Sending LOTS of CYBERHUGS :hugs: to Arkansas.... kamala

Mike - I am so lost for words. Thank you for being the kind and warm soul that you are, and for caring so much for so long. You know how to reach me - anytime.

Mike:

You know how to reach me as well. Pain shared is lessened as it dilutes.

Mike,
Ditto with the other posts. I lost my brother this summer, but it was somewhat surprising to us. He was ill, but he had been hiding just how bad things were for him.

Hold onto your memories, smile when you hear a song that reminds you of her, and enjoy the times you had together.

(((hugs!)))
