:wakawaka: Thanks, you guys! When I joined this group (and spent a week with a gaggle of you in Bonaire) I was very single ... now I'm glad I won't be shuttled off to SD.com Siberia just because I'm fortunate enough to have found someone who can tolerate me. I hope that the two of us can join you on a trip again in the near future so that she can see why I'm so fond of you all.

Anyone up for a rousing chorus of Kumbaya?

In my defense, I have not been married in decades, so I have only a vague memory of that experiment. But now that I see, heck yes - Single Marrieds are fine with me.

Unmarried Couples are a different deal, though. What about them on a Singles trip?

So I'm I'm to understand correctly, since I have recently started seeing someone who is a diver in Dandy Don's world we wouldn't be welcome on any trip you happened to be on?

Jamie, as TF said, you & Wendi would be most welcome on any trip that I participate in & I think that th majority of sd.com members would feel the same. Even though this is a site for single/buddiless divers,I hope that most of us, as people & divers tend to be inclusive rather that exclusive.

Personally, I would welcome any divers that want to join us on trips, no matter what their status. The best part of sd.com trips is the camaraderie that we experience while diving together & hanging out afterward. That camaraderie is not, & should not be, limited to just singles. Most of my best dive buddies are married or attached. We still have a great time diving together & then hanging out but then they rightfully go home to their SO. Sd.com simply gives us singles more options to meet & make new friends.

Should I take that to mean that Singles is a theme, rather than a requirement?

that's why god put you on this earth, don.

gives us somebody to pick on.

As I feared women have viewed me for years.

Should I view that ten-gallon foot in your mouth as an appendage rather than a choice?

Should I speak only when spoken to?

The suggestions of civil discussion were legitmate.

Not everyone sees everything the same, so some of us have to ask questions - only hoping for civil treatment.

Now that I think about it, shouldn't people who feel a need to pick on others spend more time in therapy?

Guys,

Disagree all you want, but Don asked a legitimate question. There's no reason to get angry just because he's trying to obtain information.

we're not mad.

at least i'm not.
if i was mad THEN I'D BE POSTING LIKE THIS

don did, indeed, ask a legitimate question. but if ANY of us were lucky enough to meet someone, it's suck if that person was no longer welcome.

I agree....I haven't made it on any SD trips yet, but I certainly am planning to in the future. I would hope that if I started dating another diver (which is now an important criterion), we would still be welcome on any trips.

I doubt that will become an issue. We are currently working on plans for our "graduates." Someday, most of us will join them. We do want to keep our unique single status without excluding folks who've hooked up. It might be a difficult balancing act, but I have no doubt we can accomplish it.

jexy...don't worry! i'd still like to dive with you and would enjoy meeting wendi. being a buddy-less dive group is a fantastic idea, but i refuse to exclude any of my friends just because they hooked up after joining the site. i went to cozumel at the beginning of august and a few people on the trip were coupled off, even a pair that wasn't seeing each other...just friends. i was fortunate enough to be partnered with someone that i had dove with before, and it was fun because the "couples" took the time and effort to hang out with the group. so that's my warning. KEEP THE SNUGGLING BEHIND CLOSED DOORS! or else i'll have to put cheese whiz in your bc to attract the fish.
