Get well soon, Sandy!

Hope it wasn't a PIC line they put in for the intravenous--those things are a bear to deal with.

Sandy, so sorry to hear about your dental problems! I'm sending prayers and positive energy your way. Sure hope you are well enough to go with us to Coz in a couple weeks! Take care of yourself! Love, Ellen

UPDATE ON SANDY:

I spoke to her this morning and they had to actually operate on her to release the infection it was so deep. The good news it is already clearing up now and she will be able to travel for the Cozy trip...the bad news is she won't be able to dive tears:

Thanks for the update WW!

Sandy, so glad you got the right medical attention that you obviously needed. I'm sure you are incredibly uncomfortable, but hang in there as you know it will get better. Glad to hear you are still going on the trip, but I'm sorry you won't be able to dive. You will make a great "snorkel weenie" I'm sure, AND I KNOW you will fully 100% participate in the partying :wakawaka: Will you be changing your costume to be a mad/crazy surgeon or dentist? :teeth:

Get well soon! See you at the airport in 2 weeks....woo hoo!

LOL I have this lovely one inch whole in my neck that is going work very well with my Halloween costume! Unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to get into the water at all. It will depend on how quickly this thing heals. The doctors had a tuff time trying to find the right antibiotic to work, and I certainly don't want to take any chances of getting reinfected.

Sorry for the abrupt absence from the board all, it certainly wasn't a planned absence. Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers. The last month has been unreal for me. A toothache that turned into a rootcanal that turned into an extraction all the while this killer infection is growing while I am on antibiotics. After the surgery, the doctors found the right antibiotic to kill the infection. After six days in the hospital I am now back home resting relatively painfree, and somewhat beaten, but I'm sure I'll be back up to full speed in no time.

COZY HERE WE COME!!!!!

No, no you don't. Well, I bet you can find a cabana boy to help with beverages then :cool2: (even if non-alcoholic, as you may still be on your antibiotics!)

Nice sunshine and great friends will make for a wonderful (& well deserved) vacation!
