Yeah, but since I-10 is on the opposite coast, I really didn't care too much...Funny ... I thought I saw it on a billboard on the I-10!

Marvel, just in case you missed the memo. If you turn right in Jax, you head south on A1A and end up right into your back yard.Uh-oh! Well, at least it's waaaayyyy north of me!
And after seeing that billboard, the impression on one's memory would last all the way to Key West, let alone Lauderdale.

Yes, it is one of the greatest rivalries in college football. I still recall that time when Woody Hayes punched out an ABC sideline cameraman who got a little too close to him right after a costly Buckeyes turnover. You mean there's a rivalry there?
Actually, it's pretty funny how intense the fans are when these two teams meet. The whole city of Columbus is Buckeye crazy! But it's fun to be a part of it.
The "rivalry" game I would love to see in person someday is the Army/Navy game. Sure, it is not a game between top-drawer college teams but when those two get it on, it is pretty hot. The only problem is they always play in Philly which is not exactly close to Houston.
I have been in Dallas during Texas/OU weekend. Talk about a wild time!

Probably because you got to blast the living snot out of any receiver who was came across the middle, right? And Laura, thanks for the (I think) compliment but I primarily played Strong Safety - most fun position on the field!

Yeah, that was a classic. Not the best sportsmanship I've ever seen, but old Woody (RIP) was a legend.
When my Dad was alive (rest his soul) he and my uncle (who lived in Detroit at that time) used to have their own little friendly rivalry going. They used to talk sh** before, during and after all the OSU-Michigan games. It was pretty funny to hear them go at it.
College football ROCKS!!
Take care

Yeah, we used to call those passes "hospital balls" and not only that but you get to play run defense along with the linebackers. Best of both worlds!Probably because you got to blast the living snot out of any receiver who was came across the middle, right? And Laura, thanks for the (I think) compliment but I primarily played Strong Safety - most fun position on the field!

Texas and Texas A&M is just like that. First of all, the schools are only about 75 miles apart, in the state of Texas, that is just like going down the street. Since most of the players are from the state of Texas, they usually know each other and have played with/against each other in high school. You all are right about college rivalries, but one thing you have to remember: in most of the big rivalries, the schools are hundreds of miles if not states apart. USC/ucla is just as fierce as any of the other rivalries, but everyone lives in the same town! You've got family members that don't talk to each other, co-workers who taunt each other, people flipping each other off on the freeway (OK, that's every day, but bear with me) ... it's CRAZY during that week here!
