IMPORTANT TRIP UPDATE:

As mentioned due to family health issues and excessive hospital bills our dear friends at The Tides are having to consider selling their resort and dive operation. They have an offer but will not know if it will go thru until later this week. The potential new owners are looking for a 'going concern' which could mean they intend to keep it a dive resort. If the sale goes thru we'll know if our bookings will be honored by the new owners. In the event that they are not Peter aka Peterbj7 and I habe been working on several contingency plans including:

1. A new dive operator if we have hotel but no dive operation
2. A new hotel and dive operator if have neither.
3. If the deal falls thru we'll post this trip immediately as its ready to go but awaiting final confirmation that our booking is secure.

I live in Belize and I've NEVER heard of Tropic refusing to carry anything, or charging extra for it. The worst that can happen is that your baggage may not travel on your plane, but even then they'll get it to your hotel at their expense.

Thank you Peter!!! We've not had any problems with luggage on any of our trips there over years so this should be no different!

It looks like I may be able to get this trip to work for me. We are supposed to have a skeleton staff at work during these dates, seems to me it would be an honorable thing to do my part and go SCUBA diving. I mean all for the sake of helping out at work and all. Kamala, do you know when you will have more details on this trip?

Well typically I do two trips a year, which I am booked. But, I really want to do Belize. So, please put me on the list. I will have to see where I stand $$$ when it opens up for booking.

I am working on two back up options with Peter's help while we see if the hotel is sold or not and how if it affects us at all. I am still hoping for a final wotd this week. kamala

IMPORTANT TRIP UPDATE:

Hey gang...just a quick update. I have been communicating with an alternate provider and should have a final go/no go by tomorrow if all goes well. If we chg to the new provider I will post the revised pricing (it will be very close to what we had) and particulars. I will need to edit the trip posting to reflect the new provider's info which will be the hardest part. If we are not changing providers I will post the trip within 24 hrs of making the go/no go decision.

Basically we will not be canceling the trip and we should have everything ready to go by this weekend or sooner depending on the outcome. Thank you, Kamala

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Its official our beloved supplier for the past few years has sold the hotel. It is unclear at this time if the new owners will honor our reservations so we are officially changing to our alternate supplier. I need to chg the relative references in the trip to the new provider info which will take me several days to do.

But its official the trip is ON and its official we'll be using a new supplier for our trip!

Now is a great time to update to a premier member as they will get early booking rights and special pricing. Thank you for you patience. Kamala
