Peter! I'll be diving Galapagos when you arrive Dallas 2/16 but I would be delighted to introduce you to a fine Dallas restaurant, not Subway, between 2/24 and 2/28 before I depart on another trip. If you're close by, it would be my pleasure to fetch and return you. However, Metro Dallas covers a huge area and far south could be a day's' drive! lol Fortunately we have taxis, regional rail, trolley, trains, and shared ride vans! We'll work it out.

Yes, i saw that you were off to Galapagos. Lucky s*d!! But I'll certainly look forward to meeting up. I'm staying with Stan Eker, who is in the SE of Dallas, a bit SE of Fair Park.. Doesn't look far out of Dallas on a map. Whereabouts are you?

I didn't realise there was such an extensive public transport system. Can you tell me how I can get info on it and whether there are any particular tickets I should consider?

Fair Park, home of the Cotton Bowl stadium, auditorium, museum, and Big Tex amusement park is fairly located. I haven't experienced it, but I believe several bus routes and perhaps a light rail line runs to the park The public transport system is nice, unless you want to get somewhere in reasonable time! My abode is north Dallas, nearly Richardson.

Thank you so much for helping him to kill some time waiting for Stan...yes pun intended and of course hang out and meet one of our awesome members!

If anyone's going to be in the DFW airport area any time around 5pm on Wednesday 16th February I'll be grateful for a lift - anywhere! I'm scheduled to land at 4:10pm, and I reckon your nice Immigration people will want my company for most of an hour.

So far so good. As of today I am not leaving DFW next week - so will meet you outside immigration - there's only one way out.

Where do you need to go from the airport? Just want to let SWMBO know how late I'll be so I don't get perforated coming in the door. 00 Buck really stings....

What flight are you on?

Kamala - I'm not sure, but I expect we'll arrive around 10:00-10:30 to give Stan time to socialise, get us to the show environs, and still get to work. I'll check with him.

And I may have killed some time with Mark, but I didn't think my aim was so bad that I killed anything else!

Craig - I'm in a not-very-salubrious area of South Dallas, but not actually very far out of Downtown, and other than Friday and I believe Saturday I'm largely kicking my heels! Zip is 75210.

Craig you are not being singled out. SD's TOS clearly stipulates that personal information can be shared privately with other premier members via pm. Peter has upgraded and you can too. This post will stand but any further posts aimed at circumventing our system will be removed. If you wish to contact a member privately simply upgrade to premier member as others have done and contact away.

While I understand the restriction on ordinary members sending PMs, it seems wrong headed to prohibit a Premier Member from contacting an ordinary member.
