Any chance to find out if the rooms at the Gibbs Bay Inn would have the small refrigerators in the rooms? Even if there is a small extra fee to rent one for the time we are there, this would be a good thing to have.

It's my understanding that the dive op will clean and store and secure your gear for you at thier dive store. I've asked to have at the resort a 30-55 gal clean trash can filled with fresh water for those of us who might like to take thier regs and computers back to room with them.
I can speak with more authority about the cost of dinner on island. On the low end say $8-15USD just north of resort(not sure within walking distance) you can find KFC or the Banan Chiefetts ( basically a island KFC). Chiefetts has a sister restuant called the BBQ Barn that was very good ( may have to go to Btown for this). Just Grillin is another dinner stop where $20USD should cover you. I did not see any McD or BK. Of course if you want to spend $50-100 for dinner that's always easy to find. BTW public transport, island bus line and co-op island vans excluding taxis is very cheap, bring lots of $1bills with you. The exchange is basically 1USD=2BD.

The refrigerators are out side the rooms but private for you.

I too inquired and found that the refrigerators are full sized outside the room for the groups use.

IMPORTANT NIGHT DIVE UPDATE:

It has come to my attention in finalizing the night dives and extra days of diving for our members on the Friday before we leave that I misunderstood the night dive pricing. The final night dive price is the price of the pkg dive + $25 and is NOT the substitution of a package dive + $25. So for the 2 out of 7 divers who wished to substitute a pkg dive + $25 this is not allowed and you will need to pay the full price of $65 if you wish to do the boat night dive.

And since I know you will ask, I have explained the confusion to the dive operator and asked if they would make an exception since we only had 2 divers affected by this but they are worried it will set a precedence they can not meet if they allow it.

Heidi and Clint please let me know if you still wish to do the night dive and remit the balance of $40 otherwise I'll take your names off the list and refund you the $25. The good news for the rest of the group is even if they fall out of the dive, we still more than enough to make the 4 diver minimum to run the night dive. Thank you, Kamala

FYI, Toby did email me that they have blow dryers available, one less thing for me to pack. I have a question about equipment rental, I will need to rent a BCD, will we be meeting with the dive people before our first dive to arrange rentals?

Since you arrive early we may be able to get you to the diveshop to fit your bc on Saturday but if not it will be first thing Sunday morning. Is a bc all you need to rent? Kamala
