So how do you transport your dive gear? Any suggestions or tricks that you have on transporting your gear to dive resorts? Any packing tricks that you have?

Ok. Here's a video of how, where and what I pack for a dive travel vacation.

Stan;
I hope the airlines don't start weighing our carry-ons. We'll both be paying 'overage' charges!!! Most of the time, I have a second checked bag, gotta have room for those school supplies.

GREAT video! Thanks for sharing. I work with a lot of Texans and Asians (yes, quite a combo of culture & people)...it was interesting & refreshing to hear your voice, lol. There were a couple of times I had to think about the words you were saying, but that's OK, as I'm sure you would do the same when I'd talk. :cool1::respect:

I don't think I've ever included an itinerary in an open viewing area in my luggage, but it's a great idea. I print out (& laminate) is the TSA information about scuba equipment (and put it near the knife). I also keep another copy of the scuba info on my carry on for the mask, regs, etc. If I bring a Spare Air, then I print out (& laminate) the info about cylinders. Both are placed on top of my items. http://www.tsa.gov/t...orial_1190.shtm and http://www.tsa.gov/t...ressed_gas.shtm are the links. It may not mean anything to someone outside the U.S., but I figured it couldn't hurt either.

Again a Great Aqua video!! Stan.I find it interesting ,you can even add food. Amazing & excellent packing..I like Bill sometimes have 2 checked bags.My carry on has my Reg bag (Octo,regs,D/C,Mask),Netbook ,Dive logbook & camera.The 1st checked bag usually has my 3mm & or a shorty,fins,dive bag & B/C and misc. extras.If I can fit clothes in this bag,depending on length of trip,then no 2nd checked bag.The one important list I made and have in my log book,is my equipment list.This details the date of purchase, Item & Mfgr ,where purchased and purchase cost.If anything were to happen to that list it is accessable from my Google mail.Thats my .02 worth.

Yes, because you don't want to confuse the word "FORK" with some other word! :-D (And Waffle House makes some of the best grits!) Come on down (yonder) to Texas, and you'll be saying Y'ALL in no time! :teeth:

I would suggest a dive caddy. http://www.divecaddy.net/

If I traveled more this is what i'd get. You can put EVERYTHING (except your knife) in this. You carry it all on with you. If the TSA wants to look at your stuff, then its easy to open and show them what you got.
