Hey gang...SD will once again do the Our World UnderWater Dive Show February 17-19, 2012 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, IL.

EXTRA SPECIAL THANKS to Greg aka greg@iphil for letting me crash his 'couch' and for getting me to and from the show/airport!

I hope our regular cast of Chicago Area Stars join us and we add a few more as well. We need help working the booth and of course set up and break down.

Thanks John! You can really thank Greg for being the 'enabler' in this gig...without him it would be too much for me to pull off!

Hopefully the weather won't be so 'windy' and so 'freezing' when I get there!!!

Hey Kamala, count me in! I just got a room at the Hyatt that has a covered walkway to the convention center! I check in Friday and check out Sunday. Greg is so gracious and generous to let you stay with him, but I'd love to have you bunk with me at the hotel! I had so much fun at the dive show in California - can't wait to do another one!!!

That is awesome that you are coming Ellen! I'll check with Greg about the bunking arrangements. He or his lovely wife Judy might rather just enjoy dinner and not the whole house companion thing. However they are so easy going they are probably ok either way.

Is the Hyatt near the convention center? I'll still need a ride to and from the airport unless the Hotel has an airport shuttle. Also what dates are you there for?

I obviously don't read well! LOL! I arrive on Thursday and depart Monday but may crash with you during the show if that's ok. I'll still need Greg's couch for the day before and last day plus some rides.

Either way it will be GREAT to have you help at the booth and of course to see you again!

This is the BEST PART OF SD...seeing existing friends and making new ones!

NOPE!!! Its never to early to plan our Happy Hour! In fact we started the list as to who will participate in it already! Got any ideas? I'd be happy to leave the HH details to the experts! kamala

Hi Kamala and SD Chicagoans!

I've been having SD withdrawal ever since I rushed off the island sooner than everyone else. I'm looking at my schedule and Saturday the 18th is looking good for me. Carol also mentioned that she gave you my flash drive (512 mb) when I left practically everything behind! Would you be able to bring the flash drive?

UGH - yes unfortunately it's going to be COLD in Chicago. Such a drastic change in scenery from Belize - I so wish I was there right now!!! Or diving somewhere warm!
So last year, dinner was at Giardano's which had really good stuffed Chicago style pizza. The only challenge was the completely full parking lot, the wait, and driving instead of walking somewhere very close (although those were where the very expensive restaurants were located at). I am cool w/ wherever we go as long as we get some good warm food in this chilly town.

I can't believe I'll be seeing you again so soon! It will be lots of fun catching up.
