Here is some rental information found on Castle Comfort's website. I have put Babykorms on the list for a Cochran as well.

Rental equipment

Regulator and gauges $10 per day
BCD $10 per day
Mask, fins and snorkel $10 per day
Shortie wet suit $14 per day
Dive light $14 per day
Dive computer $14 per day

Rental prices are quoted in US $ and exclude local VAT tax (10%).
Dive prices exclude Soufriere Scotts Head Marine Reserve fees of $2 per person per tank.
Dive prices are per person and may be subject to change.

I've faxed you rooming and medical. My daughter is out of town so will have to get waivers to you later.
So other than that, I think all is paid and we are a go.

IMPORTANT LUGGAGE UPDATE:

After several calls to AA (American Airlines) I have confirmed that Dominica is NOW weight restricting all flights in and our of the island. Here are the NEW LIMITS:

1. (1) 50# bag or (2) bags totaling no more than 70# total.
2. I can find no restrictions on hand carry other than the normal (1) personal item and (1) carry on which will be gate checked on the AA Eagle Flight from SJU to DOM and back.
3. The 70# limit applies to all economy class tickets AND first class tickets even those who flew in first or business class to SJU.
4. No over weight bags are allowed and no over limit fees will be accepted.

So basically NO ONE IS EXEMPT from the total of 70# IF you are checking 2 bags or 50# if you are checking 1 bag.

Hey gang... a quick update...

1. Joanne and Andrea arrived safe and sound on Wed
2. Jeff, Jim, Larry and I arrived safe and sound on Thursday
3. Ellen arrived safe and sound today along with my bags!
4. We had our first day of diving and saw the BIGGEST TURTLE, a beautiful seahorse, a yellow frogfish and TONS AND TONS AND TONS OF FISH OF ALL KINDS!!!
5. We also saw 2 lionfish (smallish) that the DM killed instantly.

Sadly we saw any....
Fortunately they are aggressively fighting them.

I forgot how awesome the diving was here... even not having my bags for the first day could not dampen the AMAZING DIVING!!!

Now that I have my camera...I'll be posting pics starting tomorrow!

Wish you all were here.... you REALLY NEED TO ADD DOMINICA to your wish list and plan for next year around this time...we'll do it again to celebrate my birthday and a little birdie told me that Pup loves it here and his b-day is today so he is wanting to join us too!

The Whale tour will be Monday after diving... if you have not signed up and wish to do so...please let us know.

The dinners are still being set up...

There is a Jazz festival going on Friday, Saturday and Sunday... we are seeing what it would take to participate on Sunday. So far we have approx $25 for ticket to enter, approx $30-35 for transport (1 hr each way and driver stays with us) and then cost of food and drink...so probably about $100.
