This has always been a goal of mine and now its time. I gonna get a tricked out van and travel the country with a stoner, a lesbian, a hot chick, and a giant great dane solving crimes... mainly at amusement parks and traditionally haunted locations. My fear is that I will locate the Mayan ruins only to find it was Mr Grimsby, the grounds keeper, making the calendars the whole time just to get everybody worked up.

The day of the big event is my B-day! So I am sure that there is some Mayan Cosmic reason that I was born to celebrate that end of life on this planet as we know it. Who knows Maybe I will become the new supreme ruler of the planet on that day... Whaaaa Haaaa Haaaaa!

I plan on killing a 12 pack of Newcastle, with my grandfather, while discussing physics. I'll note that while the ease of conversation increases proportionally to the amount of beer consumed, the difficulty of calculations increases exponentially to the amount of beer. As such, this will be physics for philosophers about 3 beers in.

The Winter Solstice falls on a Friday in 2012, so I'll probably celebrate the End with my fellow darklings at Numbers (per usual).

The 21st is right between my neice's birthday and my my sister/her mother's birthday so I'll probably be celebrating with them. We do have an election this year so perhaps the world will be changed as we know it and the Mayan calendar will prove to be correct after all.

I was told this as well from a wise Mayan Shaman while seeking enlightenment on an expedetion to the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza last year. The Mayans believed in repeating cycles of all things and every 9 years and every 52 years were important numbers as well as many other numbers. in 2012 all the numbers line up again and the Calander will be reset. At least thats how I remember it after the Tecate and sacred blue agave used to stave off the malaria and Dengue fever.
Each wreck has a tale to tell about its life and its demise.
If you are observant while diving in dark places listen to the account each has to tell, You cannot come away unaffected.
