They say the safest way to get someplace is by taking "The High Road". And lately I've heard a lot of people talking about 'taking the high road'.

My question is how do you know you are on it? What is the best way to take it? And when someone says they have taken it...how do you really know they have?

I know its a strange question but then these are strange times...

To me, the easiest way to figure out which is the high road is to ask yourself a question.......when faced with a choice, which option will you be comfortable having other people see you take?

The "high road" is the one that I could justify to my grandmother in two sentences or less (if she were still around :angel2: )

Oh! ye'll take the high road and
I'll take the low road,
And I'll be in Scotland afore ye;

Hmmm. When people claim they have taken it, they most likely have not. If they make no such claim, then perhaps they have. It's an interesting dichotomy. In my experience, not a single person who has boasted about taking the high road has actually been on it at the time. I always seek the high road but I don't always have the courage to take it.
