No aquarium, no tank in a marine land, however spacious it may be, can begin to duplicate the conditions of the sea. And no dolphin who inhabits one of those aquariums or one of those marine lands can be considered normal.

That is virtually verbatim what a female diver said here last week before heading to the chamber. A week on and she's still receiving chamber treatment. IMO the dive guide who took her should be investigated and possibly barred, but that won't happen here. Shows that idiots especially should choose their dive center with care.

I should qualify that. After she surfaced from her dive with her computer silently shouting at her and saying things like "Oh my God! Don't dive!", she assumed it must be broken and went back into the water for two more dives. She didn't have another computer so she just went without one. AFAIK she is a PADI AOW.

Sounds like the perfect example showing people will buy a dive computer and then start using it without understanding what the dive computer is telling them--if they even learn how to properly operate or set it at all. This gets worse if they are renting the computer.

Something's wrong with my computer. It was counting up instead of down. The longer I stayed the more time it said I had left.

My computer was acting weird. It said I was at 30ft and 83ft at the same time.

this is an actual response from a diver after the dive master pulled him up from 173ft and he was diving on nitrox.
