I'm not real good with notical stuff but I found this on the http://www.caymanisl...ky/weather.aspx website.
"The extended outlook through morningSunday
Partly cloudy skies with a 20% chance of showers. Winds will be southeast 10 to 15 knots. Seas will be moderate with wave heights of 3 to 5 feet. "
Do you seasoned divers think this is ok to dive in in relation to the wind and wave heights?
thanks,
Louise

Wind is not a problem. If we have 3-5 foot seas, the biggest issue will be with sea sickness. If you are prone to motion sickness, be sure to bring whatever remedy works for you. If you're so new to ocean diving that you don't know if you'll get seasick, judge based on your ability to ride roller coasters or other fair rides, or driving on winding mountain roads. If those make you "iffy", then so will the boat. It's best to start taking the medication on Friday, to get it into your system well before you board a boat!
Trust me....I'm an expert on being absolutely GREEN on a boat as well as under water.
I will be wearing the scop patch and taking Meclizine in 3 foot seas, but I'm very sensitive to motion.
The dive op will brief us on their preferred methods for boarding the boat in 3-5 foot seas. Much more than 5 foot seas, and boarding a boat becomes dangerous if you're not very experienced with rough seas. Most dive ops will not go out in 6 foot or worse.
