UPDATE AS OF AUG 2012:

We are seriously looking at next fall for Fiji. I am checking dates for Sept of 2013 to include Labor Day. We are looking at offering a 2 week option... 1 week at the famous BeqaLagoon Resort and 1 week in the Famous Bligh Waters at Voli Voli who's info is below. BeqaLagoon is world renown for its FIRE WALKERS and ALL THE FIJIAN CULTURE. Voli Voli is renown for its big animals and incredible corals due to the increased water flow in the area and BOTH are RENOWN for TRULY WORLD CLASS DIVING ON A BUDGET!!!

While we await 2013 pricing and confirmation of Labor Day timeframe (one resort is good so far so we are waiting on the other)... we wanted to update this thread to let you know we are heading in this direction and the pkg will include 3 dives daily!

Hey gang...I've been getting a lot of requests for FIJI!!! Its been many years since we've done the magical land of Fiji and pricing is very attractive. I do not have 2013 pricing yet... but 2012 pricing is $1499 d/o all meals, lodging and diving and air is running $1100 to $1300. The flight is easy.. leave LAX at 11pm and you are there in the morning.

To go that far, to some of the best diving in Fiji.....and only do 2 boat dives per day? That's not enough for me. The shore looks like a swimming beach, not a diving beach. If you could get a 3-4 dive per day package, it would be more attractive to me.

My gf has wanted to go to Fiji for a while now. So it would be all about the timing..

But Bonaire is looking really good for me & maybe us for 2013.

I'm with Tammy. If we were looking at 3-4 dives a day I would be interested. I also would want to go for more than 5 dive days.

I would certainly go back even with 2 dives a day ...but 3 or 4 would be better...end of nov since I don t feel like going back to Roatan??? Liz

I was checking out Beqa Lagoon the other day, as the shop I am affiliated with is planning a trip there. Frankly, it didn't look all that great to me, though I'd like to hear more from anyone who is going or has been. When I was in Fiji, we jumped around a little bit. Did some diving off a boat we were on (though not a liveaboard operation). My favorite place there was Namena Marine Reserve, which we dove from the Jean Michele Cousteau resort. Check it out at http://www.namena.org/ . I know there are many other amazing places to dive in Fiji. IMO, if you're going to make the trip, maximize the diving opportunities. I'd love to go back there, again, given the diving would be the best possible available. Just my input.

VoliVoli sounds intriguing...
