Wow, now that's a dream lineup!

I've got St Kitt's/Saba and Galapagos as definite bookends for 2014. Now to figure out the in between.

Torn between Dominica, BOM, NC, and Cayman

Too many great options! :banghead:/>

Truk, Dominica, Little Cayman/Cayman Brac, Galapagos.

Kamala - Is there still a possibility of San Sal for November 2014?

November is open right now (but probably not Thanksgiving as it will butt up against the Galapagos trips and I'll need some time to get ready for them) as is October and PROBABLY NYE...seems my eyes may not be fixable by lasik after all but I will know more in Dec.

I am still contemplating San Sal, Sea of Cortez and Roatan...for the open gaps in 2014.

WOW! You guys are sneaky...usually I update the first post and no one knows until I make a new post...I can't get anything by you guys! ;)

Well I added a few more tweaks to the first post... I was not finished editing but wanted to save what I had done before I lost it! LOL!

I still have a lot of work on it trying to flesh out the rest of the 2014 calendar but there are few more details now...

HINT!! Dominica will be annual for at least a few more years. NC has to fill or I not only don't offer it again but I lose my proverbial butt and possibly more... Best of Mexico has been consistently offered every 2 years and should continue that way. Cayman has 2 sister islands for which I have been rotating Grand Cayman two years ago, Cayman Brac last year and Little Cayman next year. So it won't be the last time for LC but it may be 2 years before we cycle to that particular island. Or if everyone loves it so much we may do it again next year! Hopefully that helps! -ww

One final thought...

My goal in locking in the calendar as QUICKLY as possible...followed by opening trips up as EARLY as possible is to ensure that we FILL ALL our trips! The temptation is always to offer more and more trips...but unlike any other business we have to fill EVERY TRIP WE OFFER or we ain't no more. That is why dive shops and dive clubs cancel trips when they can't fill them...they don't want to go out of business. In our case, one of our founding tenets is we WON'T CANCEL A TRIP once one person has signed up. And we never have...but this has cost a small fortune to ensure this 'vacation saving tenet' stands strong.

So please keep telling your friends about SingleDivers.com and please come back and visit our trips if you haven't been diving with us in awhile and please support our marketing efforts via facebook and the SD.com website and other places so we can find new members and keep offering not only great trips...but MORE GREAT TRIPS!!! :wakawaka:

Hello,

I just read the new Dive Alert magazine. There is an article about Grenada (la Grenade). It seems very beautiful with deep wrecks to explore (which means big ships, less divers, more fish). (They are not war/military wrecks)

It could be a nice exotic place for tech deep diving on wreck without having to travel across the Pacific.

We've done Grenada about 3 times I think...I lose track. Only the Bianca C is viable for tech diving types of profiles and the German Owner is tech certified himself but slow to trust and slower to allow the type of profiles you might want to dive.

It has been a long time since we've been there and it may in fact be time to go again.

Anyone else really excited about diving there? It is a wreckdiver's haven but also nice for non-wreck divers. The best part is access to other islands in the Grenedines as day trips if the weather cooperates.

In fact there was an article in WreckDiving Magazine a few years back that featured a picture of a certain 'wench' diving the wrecks of Grenada... I'll have to see if I can dig up that article.

Hey Jerry...do you have your old copies of wreckdiving mag???

You see Kamala, you are the perfect person to lead a wreck diving trip to Grenada !Posted Image

If it's too soon, displace it later in 2015 or when you get tired of Dominica.

It just seems a nice alternative.

(you know I am going to suggest mostly wreck dives...)

Sounds interesting to me. Next year I might be looking into getting some more certifications and I'll likely be headed into the tech realm.

I think I also read an article recently about Grenada. Sounded like a good place to visit.

Yes..I'd say I was! LOL! They don't call me "Wreck Wench" for nothing!!! ;)

Once you've done Dominica you'll see its hard to get tired of it. I will have to see if they have any wrecks there...I know there are some parts of the island that we have not dove. And there IS A PIRATE'S CANNON THERE... one above the water and one below in shallow water. Hmmm...I'll have to see what else they have.

And yes if there is enough interest...we can put Grenada on the 2015 calendar. 2014 is pretty set right now.

(you know I am going to suggest mostly wreck dives...)

No problem with that! None what so ever! Make sure you do NC...its the Truk of this hemisphere!

My ‘problem’ with North Carolina is the amount of non-diving time wasted on getting there and around (I have to fly there). It’s also very (proportionally) expensive for a few great dives. Still I have it on my to dive list. When the right context shows up, I’ll be there. Are you planning to dive the Yancey ?
