And I SECOND Bill's thoughts on NEVER feeling as if you are a newbie (either in diving or tenure with SD) and therefore have no clout. That is simply not true here...in fact many new divers to the site and new to diving have suggested venues and gotten interest and NOW we are diving there! Take Fiji as an example. This has come to fruition due to several new members enthusiasm... Traci and Tim. Bill has helped other trips come to fruition and the fact is that most of our trips are the result of someone else's enthusiasm.

So keep jumping in...splash around and keep making suggestions and NEVER FEEL YOU HAVE TO APOLOGIZE!!!

I've got one word for 2015, TRUK. Please /> do this one again in 2015. I'm so bummed I probably won't be able to make the 2014 trip, (too close to Saba). I will literally plan my entire 2015 around doing Truk and Palau together. I'ld would put a deposit down now for a 2015 Truk trip />

Thank you all for the kind and reassuring words!! /> I greatly appreciate them. I am afraid I have seen too many boards where some new-comer has come in and "known" more than anyone and wished to show the happy community the "error of their ways." I never want to be, or be seen to be that person. So I am afraid I tend to be to cautious (and sensitive) to the things I often read. I wanted to join this board because of the wealth of knowledge and experience of its members that I do not have. Everyone (including you three) have been nothing but kind, and welcoming, to me. Guess its time to put on my big boy pants and quit trying too hard.

As for diving on either side of the NYE trip... let us know and we'll book you! You get the EV discount for back to back trips and few bucks extra for just being an SD MEMBER!!! />

p.s. Joel would you post the same thing in the Saba thread so that peeps on the NYE trip will know someone is willing to do the back to back option if someone else is!

Anybody ever done Bermuda? Seems to be forgotten these days. Shipwrecks galore but don't have any experience there. Anybody been?

Hey Sean11...good suggestion. I've looked at Bermuda and the hotels are VERY expensive. The dive ops are a bit pricey as well but more affordable. We have a member who lives in Bermuda so it may be time to go and visit.

I will go almost anywhere that people want to go...

WW and I spoke very briefly about Dominica at New Years. I wanted to put it in writing. Any chance of Dominica, New Years 2015???

I would love to do Dom over New Years... but I can't make a decision until I visit an eye doc in Dec. I need to have eye surgery and need a long break from diving after the surgery and the surgery is 50% off the week after xmas since no one wants to have eye surgery then. Since I am self employed and I only have catastrophic insurance... I have to plan for the week after xmas to do it. I am not sure I can wait 2 more years...I'll know more in Dec of this year.

Having said that...I would 100% love to do Dom for NYE or even in Nov or early Dec if we had enough interest...

Tell you what...I will know soon if I can do a 2015 trip that I lead...we may offer one if one of our TC's would like to lead it. OR I can make DOM for another NYE...I'll ask the resort if they will let us do that date???
