I looked for this information and could not locate the message......In the event we miss the taxi...the boat is at Bobs Marina?

If for any reason there is NOT a driver waiting for you with either your name or Explorer Ventures on the Sign or SingleDivers.com on the sign then here is your back up plan as to what to do. Thank you, Kamala

1. FROM THE BOAT: Please send the attached voucher to everyone. It has all of the necessary contact information. It's unlikely that a driver won't be there to meet someone. If that happens, the first thing for the passenger to do is call the numbers on the voucher. If the passenger can't get a hold of anyone that way, then they can take a regular taxi to Bobby's Marina (on the Dutch Side).

2. VOUCHER: Here is the voucher you need. Please print it out and take it with you or file it on your smart phone in case of need.


Let us know if you have any further questions on transfers.

As a reminder....

1. A driver will be waiting for you IF you sent us your flight details.
2. Each of you will pay that driver in US dollars approx $20 each way.
3. The driver will take you to the boat. (Please see the separate post about what to do when you get to the boat)

So got two hours to kill here in Charlotte before my connecting flight and I'm eyeing the bar wondering if 8:30am is too early for vodka when on vacation. Decided it's ok as long as you mix it with a juice of some kind. Now it feels more like breakfast. Saba here I come!

What Brad said...I did get some pics dealt with so will post them on facebook and the site.

I was supposed to get home last night ...actually 12:30 this morning but they close the door at 10 mins till departure and I arrived at 8 mins before departure and they would not budge.

So by the time I was able to rebook my flight along with an entire plane of people from St Marteen that were 2.5 hrs late...it was 1:30am and I was too beat to try and find a hotel. So a few z's in the airport and a few more on the plane and I'm FINALLY back in Texas trying to help my mom deal with the grief of losing her mom. It still has not really hit her full blast yet and I guess it hasn't hit me either.

At least I had a great week of diving and animal encounters to help recharge my batteries...

Hi Kamala, sorry to hear about the travel issues . Suzy and I barely made our connecting flight. We lucked out that they had a mini home alone scenario happening with some teenage kid boarding alone and his mom searching fro him in the terminal. That bought us enough time to get on. That ridiculously long security line almost did us in. Then, even though there was an hour and half in between flights, the checked bags didn't make it out of Charlotte and I'm still waiting to hear from the airline about the fate of our bags. But even that can't wash away the glow of an amazing week.

It was a truly great week diving with you again Kamala and I hope it gave you a small respite from the circumstances at home. My thoughts and heart are with you and your family during this difficult time. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

Thanks Jose...glad you caught a break...we sure needed one! If they had not EMPTIED my bag I would have been ok but sometimes you are the windshield and sometimes you are the bug!

In any event...the week of diving made up for it... now my head is on straight again...I'm working like a wild woman!
