Also-- putting out a call to see if anyone is interested in doing Yap or the Philippines following Palau? I have some flexibility and could go before hand as well. I'm leaning towards possibly going to Malapascua, would love to see the thresher sharks. But I'm flexible and open to suggestions, this is my first Pacific trip outside of Thailand. Just shoot me a message, as I haven't booked anything and would love to have a travel buddy! (P.S. I got the ok from Kamala to post this)

What is a nautilus dive? You sounded so excited I signed up based on it. I was thinking it was the motorized things that pull you thru the water....like James Bond.

They live at very very very deep depths and the dive operator brings them up from the deep and we get to see them and have our pictures taken with them. The dive operator has to start the night before to get them up and we get one dive with them. If you are not doing the Nautilus dive we drop you on another part of the reef and then meet up again on the boat. Here is a picture of a nautilus below.

NOTE: We will take pictures of you NOT holding the Nautilus even though this one shows a diver holding it. We ALL know we don't really touch the Marine life but this guy swam into the diver's hands and the picture was snapped before he could let him go. />
