Just submitted payment for this option. Not sure if I'll need it but better safe than sorry.
Adding you to the list! You may want to try and pack everything NOW so you know if you need it. We still have some time to decide.

Might be a good idea to advertise this "group contract perk" earlier in the process next time..... Especially since this option is not available to individuals even at a slightly higher price. Kamala, are all the prices you list including the $120 only for the contract air group? And is it RT? Will have to check on this. And Fiji airlines is not oneworld so no AA benefits!!! Bummer.
Rosa you are absolutely right. But after 5 funerals/funeral&estateplanning last year and sadly the add'l challenges I am still worthy of continuing to face this year...I thought I had done it when in fact I had not. Yes the price of $120 is the normal price for the 2nd bag. You can get a small savings if you use the contract air of $100 for the 2nd bag if you need a 2nd bag. The price is each way for the 2nd bag although it used to be round trip. So apparently they have used all those bag fees to pay for new planes.
No problem, Kamala. I know how crazy life has been for you the last couple of years. I find that I actually get two bags. But it is my personal challenge this trip to see how light I can pack and still bring along my faves like my music etc.
I did post a bit more info in the main thread re the differences between codeshare baggage allowances and Fiji Air.

UPDATE:
Good news...the add'l bag allowance is $100 round trip or $50 each way so you only owe $100 total. If anyone paid $200 let us know and we'll refund $100. Thank you! kamala
p.s. Feb 14th is the last date to have signed up and paid for this. PLEASE do not wait til the last date as I must submit to the airlines and pay on the 14th. Kamala

UPDATE:
They DO weigh your carry on's. They give you 15# for each. You will have to check one of them as a 3rd bag at $120 if you are not at the 15# mark on each bag. Get a travel vest and put stuff in it. I put nearly 30 pounds in my travel vest in order to get my CARRY ON bags to the correct weight. Because they don't charge tickets based upon how much you weigh, you can get away with this approach.

I usually travel with a hardcase that holds my scuba gear that I check-in, a carry-on for my clothes, and my backpack for jacket/camera, etc.
I just weighed my carry-on and I'm over 15 lbs, which is hard to believe because it's not even full. I may transfer everything to a duffle.
Does Fiji airlines count my backpack as a "bag"? Their webpage doesn't say anything about personal items, only hand baggage (15 lbs) and checked baggage (50 lbs).

International Hand Baggage Allowance
ALL DESTINATIONS
Passenger Class Weight Number of Pieces
Adult & Child Economy 7 Kg (15 lbs) 1 piece
Adult & Child Business 7 Kg (15 lbs) 2 piece
Infant(<2 Yrs) All Classes Plus 3kg (7lbs) for accompanying adult (1 piece)
Passengers are permitted one small personal item, such as laptop or purse, in addition to their Carry-On allowance.
That's what I was asking about. I saw their table on the website. Will my backpack count as a "piece" or a personal item? No airline has ever given me trouble about my backpack before, but it sounds like Fiji can be rigid. I'd hate to fly all that way and not have my backpack to stash my jacket, meds, my camera, and snacks.
