Oooooooh another person saving all thier money to dive with SD.com!!! I got a few others besides me of course doing the same thing!!! Now ya know...I think I'm the only person giving a military diving discount that I know of. Let me know if you've heard of it before!!! If so...great minds think alike...if not...well lets just say we are trendsetters here at SD.com!!!

Welcome, Jim. I live in Hawaii Kai.
Anyway, Ocean Concepts has a club. I know it is pricey but they do go out frequently. I belong (as do a few other Scuba Boarders) to Island Divers Hawaii. You can find them on the internet. Anyway, they have a free club and the boat dives are pretty deeply discounted compared to tourist prices. (I may be going out with them this weekend - not sure).
Diving is a great sport. If you join a club, you will find buddies. But, as Walter indicated in the Assigned Buddies thread, you have to really interview them prior to the dive to know what is in store during the dive.

Welcome, Jim! Great to see you here and thanks for serving. You'll have to get over to some of the other islands and let us know what you think the hot spots are. The hot spots for diving, too.
