I'm not allowed to donate blood. I tried a few months ago and was told no thanks. I spent too much time in Europe in the early 80's (they can't screen for mad cow)Don't count on me for this trip, my blood bank says Belize is off limits (except Belize City) if I want to continue to donate blood.
I would be interested in the trip.

As well as all over Europe there was "mad cow disease" in the USA & Canada as well. Most countries hushed it up, notably (in Europe) Germany and Spain. Britain went way overboard the other way. But I've never heard of that being a reason not to give blood. I can't give blood anyway because I've just had too many tropical diseases.I'm not allowed to donate blood. Incidentally, Walter, there's no malaria on the cayes and not much inland in Belize. Most people I know don't take anything to prevent malaria, wherever they live. Is travel to Belize really banned by your blood transfusion service?
